what rig do you use for kingfish off the beach
Totally enjoyed watching this video. It looks good shore jigging spot but does live bait work better than metal jig?
Nice fishing. Can I get the location. Big fan of land fishing.
Oh my god, love it when you are fishing from the rock. I hate going from the boat. Felt like it is cheating.
Hi. A big thanks for your great informative video. I am a fishing enthusiast. Could you please give me the location details shown in this video. Also I request you suggest me some more places for land based salt water fishing around Christchurch . Thanks in advance 🥂

Do we need to buy license to fish in NZ?
No license needed in New Zealand for salt water fishing. But you need a license for fresh water fishing.
@@UltimateFishingTV big thanks for your info
we call these yellowtail in the states
TonydlP650 yeah in Aus and nz they are called yellow tail kingfish
They are called yellow tail kingfish in nz, but we usually just call them kingfish
TonydlP650 amberjack?
Been there and caught some, real good scrappers! Still want to catch one from the land.
Do you mean lumbajack fish
If you're not eating the fish, why fishing?!
Kingis
20lb my arse
What's the bet matt just does minimum drag yo act like he has a massive fish lol
aussies call kahawai salmon
Western Australian Salmon
They are better in nz
Why does New Zealand call Australian salmon kahawi.
Because that’s what they’re called in Nz?
That snapper must feel excruciating pain when you catching, think about your cheeck is passing through with a hook. What I mean if you not eating that fish then leave fish along, that is fish torture.
Young Moon fish can’t feel pain there was no evolutionary advantage to feeling pain
🤦🏽♀️😂
Shouldn't you all have life jackets on that close to the waters edge anyway?. Safety first.
Bruce Kay if you don’t trust yourself sure
That selectively ignorant comment doesn't warrant an answer. @@dysthedice84
@@brucekay1382 And yet you did.
Because 90% of kiwis can swim ... bush hike and camp ... go out in boats .... lite a fire etc .... if they didnt feel safe they wouldnt of been standing there ... and wear sensable clothes near the water ... kiwis have evolved past kiddy water wings ...
Eye wunna bug kungfushhhhhhhhhh
bet u cant catch a big snap like that at Devonport wharf or queens.. abit bullshit you needed a boat to get their for your show.....make a video around auckland city wharfs catching snaps.
wtf is going on there guys????
the shot of the KIng with a gaff through its head isnt good - thought NZ was about sustainable fishing
It most certainly is. Every now and then you gotta put something on the table though
So much on you about catching snaps kingfish boring
Stupid to pull these fish on a rocks!!!👎
PISS OFF, ITS FINE
Snapper are tough as...they get hammered in the swell feeding...scales act as armour
Sorry here in Alaska we only fish for KING SALMON, NO big snapper n NO kingfish...Only at the NORTH POLE...If you want to fish REAL KING FISH ...come to Alaska. n try to catch a REAL KING SALMON...only in Alaska.
nz kingfish would destroy a king salmon kingfish one of the best fighting fish a step down from a giant trevelly
Pound for pound kingfish fight harder
Yally scream on boat ha what boring
Ur just a joke Matt
