308 GT4 Oil Pressure Sender Unit Nightmare

The oil pressure sender unit on my Dino 308 GT4 failed during car week-right after it won a gold award at Concorso Italiano. Replacing it turned out to be a bigger nightmare than expected!

Hahaha, yes, been there before! Knock on wood, I've gotten plenty of years out of mine. I'm sure your alternative solution is much like what Ferrari did with the 288 GTO and relocate it via a high-pressure hose to the top corner in the engine bay? They mounted it on a bracket right near the rear curb-side shock mount. Their reasoning was that the area near the base of the oil filter was too hot and was cooking it. Putting it in the new location also made it a 5 minute job to replace!

Interesting about the 288 GTO, didn't know they had done that. And maybe that's something doable, but I was looking more at replacing it with an electronic version that's way more reliable. As seen here in this link: sway.office.com/LVWsbkSxiOXNH6LJ
