    I've been taking a collagen supplement daily for almost a year. I used to get a cortisone shot in my knees every 3 months, but I haven't had one since last May. The only thing I did differently was the collagen

    Collagen peptides are importat. BUT you also need to take vitamin D for your bones, because people lose bone mass as they age. So you MUST take vitamin K2 + D3. Vitamin K2 acts as a regulator and ensures the vitamin D and calcium is absorbed by the body.
    calcium + vitamin K2 + vitamin D3 = strong bones
    omega-3 = will improve your vision and joints
    CoQ10 = production of energy and mitocondrial support
    For your hair I can recommend you jojoroba oil or a shampoo of tea tree oil.
    For your face I can recommend you vitamin C serum, rosehip oil, grapessed oil and retinol.

    Thank you for testing the collagen I too just recently started the vital proteins (just finished my first can) totally noticed my skin on the heels of my feet haven’t been cracked Also my nails & joint pain is much better I have read we only need 10 - 15 grams of collagen a day so I have only been using 1 scoop which is 10. I would like to know if you’re using 2 scoops which would be 20 grams? Been wondering if I should up my dose? Thoughts? Thanks again!

      I have the original vital protein peptides powder. It only states it has type I and type III. I am needing help with joints and arthritis pain. I'm having a hard time finding type II collagen powder. It sounds like you're having luck with the vital proteins so I will continue to use it.

      That’s when my joints got really bad after menopause. I completely blame menopause for my joint pain. My mom had terrible knees too so it could be genetic. I want to try collagen to see if it helps. Nothin else has much.
