1:55 “ i’m gonna need you off the brakes when I pull“
“Really?”
Matts instincts, something aint right
Then as soon as he’s out he guns it and nearly buries it again 😂
I was thinking, if You don’t know to let off the brakes when you’re getting pulled out in that situation, you probably don’t need to be driving a truck.
@@joeynessily I know, right?
Didn't want to run over the rope!
Off the brakes…Who would’ve thought!
And then spins the tires on hard level gravel. Non driver right there
I agree!
lol, duh!
Hey, it wasn’t in reverse…. We’re winning
I have been guilty of an occasional Head Slap moment but not like this.
2:25 “That worked good (muttering to himself, once you got your foot off the brake)” 😂
Matt is a master in exercising exceptional restraint, I certainly would never be so civil and polite...lol
Lol, that was what I thought too. Amazing what happens with a little physics.
Criminally offensive side 👀
Bobbi did a great job on the camera. Glad she was there to help.
She definitely did a better job than her dude pushing on the brakes
It was nice of that fella to give you that polished rock. A stone doesn't have to be a diamond or emerald to be pretty. We like rocks!!
Would you like to know why humans have an attraction to rocks? They are thee oldest ingrained hand weld weapon to protect yourself and your family. Its instinct to have some level of attraction to certain size rocks.
My wife and I just got a Jeep and I somehow stumbled onto to MOOR Channel last week while my wife was out of town. Talk about a rabbit hole! I think I must have binge watched 50 episodes by now.
Obviously Matt and his crew are very good at what they do, but what impresses me the most is that he and Jamie have raised their kids to work hard, get the job done, and has anyone else noticed these kids NEVER COMPLAIN!? It's refreshing to watch these young boys (and Katelynn too!) do something (anything!) that doesn't involve a screen. Matt trusts them to do everything from full solo recovery jobs to building their rigs. I love the family aspect of all the crew. My wife also commented that no matter the predicament they are in, Matt and crew never seems to get mad or even flustered. They just roll with it and "Get em Out!
They may not complain on camera but who knows if they complain off camera.
Great comment! Respect 🫡
You said what every body is thinking. And this is definitely a family friendly channel.
If you haven't yet, go watch the episodes of them pulling out the Golden Nugget (Ed's old Suzuki that was buried in the woods for 50 years. Took them days just to find it!
@@Herpaderp10 I have seen those episodes and it was quite an epic journey. It was nice to see what the MOOR crew did for him and all the others that helped with rebuild of the Golden Nugget. Ed seems like great guy that everyone just loves to have around.
Bobby got it done but agree that once again Peanut demonstrated true commitment to excellent content
Back in the 1950's, the old guy who ran a beach taxi service on Fire Island, N.Y., had
an old Jeep, and he ran oversize bald tires aired way down. He never got stuck in the sand (wet or dry), and he never made the Jeep break a sweat. He just floated through everything.
Hats off to Everett's old school skills and savvy.
I had a great uncle named Everett in that area
Used to drive my frontier with tires aired down to 15 at Smith point outer beach (fire Island)just about every day in the summer and fall. Miss those days.
There are different kinds of sand. Out West in the desert it's tiny marbles worn smooth by the winds.
@@rdmineer1 No matter what type of sand you want to stay on top and not dig, hence the bald tires and low pressure.
@@greyjay9202 I agree that is the basic fundamentals. Had street tires perform well on beach sand.
A lady stalled in a busy, slightly uphill street. A bunch of guys hopped out to push her to the side street (which sloped down, too!). As we pushed and got nowhere, saw the brake lights on. She didn't want the car to roll back on us. She was flustered and had good thoughts, at least.
Like the two guys riding the tandem bicycle. Front guy: "Boy going up that hill was tough!" Rear guy "Yeah! And if I hadn't been on the brakes we would have slid right back down!!"
It's good to see they let Jonah out of the dungeon
Yay Jonah! Keep up the good work!
Hi Jonah!
My ram 3500 weights 8600 pounds. If it looks soft i get out and stomp my foot. If my boot heal leaves a hole, my truck doesn't go there!
1500 with 6.2l is a whole different story
@@jaysondutton1895 as it's clearly some RT sporty type of truck I think it's safe to assume it was meant only for pavement an doesn't have 4WD. it is a lighter truck sure but when it comes to sand, if you don't have 4WD and knobby tires you can guarantee on getting stuck.
Matt is such a good dude, picking up trash and trying to keep natural areas clean
only when on camera
probably, I just don't like that he filmed it. you could argue that he did it to send a message to his followers to pick up trash on their trails, but it seems like a "oh look what I did today" kind of thing. camera or not though I think he still would have done it as you can see he does get annoyed with overlanders and their anticks.
@@ElectronicsForFun just sounds like childish sentiments from someone who thinks it's ok to throw trash in the environment wherever they go.
- Sounds like a great message to me. I'm all for it. "Pick up your trash, you disrespectful scumbags!!!"
@@curtschmidt3436 so are you agreeing with me or arguing with me?
@@ElectronicsForFun i guess you're too ignorant to know
As someone who owns two diesel pickups, it's mind boggling to me that so many people will drive them into this type of sand. I guess people see that 4x4 badge on their pickups and think that it means "go anywhere".
You just gotta know how to drive and adjust air pressure and scout what your driving
@@415stunnaz Diesel pickups, mostly the 3/4 and 1 ton ones, are really REALLY bad off road. Not just because they're so heavy, but the suspension is way too stiff. They're built to carry heavy stuff (hence the stiff springs), and the 4x4 is to get you in and out of work sites, not to go down trails.
And yes, I know there are very capable off road cargo vehicles like the old 2 1/2 ton military trucks, but they're built to sacrifice on-road capability to give them better ability off-road.
There was no diesels in this episode though.
I don't know who is Dumb or Dumber in this comment 😂. How'd you miss the diesel at the very end?
How come the other 4wders don't get him out?
101% credit to Matt and Jamie
For bringing this kids up so
So gr8
Congrats guys
Matt, your boys do an awesome job recovering vehicles. They are also so outgoing and humorous on camera. Together with the rest of your crew, it makes for great video content!
lol @ the guy in the red truck. Really to you.... Holding the brakes while someone is trying to pull you out. Bud, we like to call this common sense. lol
I watched someone get pulled up a hill in snow that held the brake the whole way and had their hands off the steering wheel. I guess they thought the person pulling them was in control. Luckily the truck pulling them was stout enough it didn’t much care.
I just had to shake my head.
Love the good ol' kinetic rope pulls with the Banana! The very first video I ever saw from MORR was when he pulled out that silver Superduty with the giant 5th wheel. I have been hooked ever since.
PEANUT needs her own CZcams channel. "Peanut's Off-Road Adventures". If not, perhaps her own playlist.🙂 ❤
Bobbie did better than most people who get only the sky and top of the vehicle or ground and wheels. 👍
-) A clear sign of respect for lands so many enjoy......Kudos for picking up other's trash.
-) The Hummer's front receiver hitch, with its locking pin being inaccessible is LESS than worthless. It adds weight while offering no utility.
-) It's understandable that some wish to avoid a media presence. The red jasper looks really nice, especially with a 2000 grit lapidary polish
Anyone else feel like taking a Hummer for a spin after watching this? The review was so engaging and thorough! 💪
I missed this style of videos. Mat do great job as a whole team.
Matt, hats off to you sir and your Mrs, for what a great family you've raised. All the best!
The Gatorade bottle, love how picking up a piece of trash makes a difference. Here in Philly you could stand in a 10 ft.² area for three hours and not pick up all the trash
Wait, what? Its been decades since the west coast MOSTLY stopped litttering. I pick up very little litter any longer. I assumed the world had changed. Shame on the bottle tossers...
@@geraldhenrickson7472I’m sorry, what? First, what he says it true. I just left philly and shithole doesn’t begin to scratch the surface. But so is LA 😂
"City of Brotherly.... Litter!" 😅
I always pick up any trash I find in camp spots when I am camping. I usually have to look pretty hard to find any. Central Oregon.
Id like to believe you, but your rarelyright! 😂. JK it's sad how much trash is laying around 😞 lazy people can't find a trash can
Peanut is lucky to have you, and you to have Peanut. A person's dog speaks volumes about their human. I massively envy you for that dog.
My dog got that DAWG in him.
Lizzy's dog
You have become my go to watch now. I found your channel a week ago watched a whole load of your content. I'm neither American nor an offroader, I'm a brit with a range rover sport svr my offloading goes as far as 600bhp down gravel tracks to the beach in Cyprus. Love your videos. Honest people. Honest work. Love of the family and love of what you do. Keep up the work and never change Matt. If I find myself in the states driving across the country I'll make sure to get stuck somewhere and give you a call!
Go back and watch the Golden Nugget series. You won't be disappointed.
@@conner6052 You have a huge library of great content to binge on.
Same here but I’m starting to move over to HeavyD
I found them a few years ago while tripping on mushrooms, been hooked every since, dont know if it's them or the mushrooms
I have seen a lot of foreigners watching this channel, based on the comments, some say they just watch because of the beautiful scenery. I have been watching this channel from the beginning, and there is just something about it that keeps you coming back. It's probably how Matt always tries to stay in good spirits, no matter the level of stupidity. LOL.
We just can't tell you how we love watching your telecasts. What a precious family you are; and we appreciate that you keep the content clean and fun. Asking Jesus to continue to protect you as you travel to all of these dangerous places. Thank you for all that you do.
I bet 3/4 of these vehicles wouldn't be stuck, if they aired down & knew how to drive off road . Just because your vehicle will go off road doesn't mean you should ! Happy hump day !
I think it is the three quarters of people that we don't get to see. If everyone knew how to drive in the sand we wouldn't get to see these kinds of recoveries. Big ups to the quarter of those that don't.🤣😆
yep said the same thing lol
@@WasteNoMinutes yep lol
I forgot you didn’t have anyone to film Bobbi was so good!
Not only take your foot of the brakes will you also shift from low to reverse please 😂 Excellent video as always! I love this channel!
I dont have a towing company and limited experience off roading or recovery but i have a growing passion for it and a young son that i pray one day will be with me on a night time recovery just sounds like a dream
A lot of times with the newer cars if they open the door it automatically sets the parking brake or goes to park. I've yanked people and later figured out why they didn't move at all.
My rem rebel does that… freaking annoying! Especially since it’s “off road ish” haven’t found a way to disable it either.
Matt I totally agree with you about pockets on shirts especially for your cell phone that's why you need to start bringing your t-shirts on pocket t-shirts
A digital "Now Serving Customer Number _____" on the dash or roll cage might be more practical and 11% cooler.
Dash mounted, manual, analog, push button counter similar to a hand held tally counter.
@@gragor11 Precisely.... ish.
i think the analogue thing would be cool too! would be awesome to watch those number roll over and have a little button to press or something in the cabin
digital would probably be better for displaying it on the dash though🤔
"I live for this..." LOL You could tell that was from the heart.
Matt you and you crew did one extremely impressive job on the Rubicon trail. Wow!
Got to love it; "Foot off the brake.' A Hummer in name only, like calling a 2 wheel drive Jeep a Jeep. As usual great editing.
Matt: Cameraman, dog watcher, collector of discarded plastic bottles, rescuer of stranded cars... an all round good guy !!!
And rock collector
Thanks for the video! "Hi Ho Silver, Away!" Was usually at the end of the epilogue on the old show. Sometimes followed by "who was that masked man?"
You guys have some of the best iconic "recovery music" going. Please don't think you have to change it up just to be trendy or progressive! It's already damn near perfect!!
-- From the guy that suggested you mark the jobs. If I remember correctly, I said, "Mark your victories like a WWII fighter pilot." I always look for it. Thought it was a good idea. Also thought it may have turned into a needless hassle. I am glad you're doing it again. Not for me, but for my daughter 5 at the time, who I take flying in those aircrafts. She had the idea that gave me the idea. You've made a little girl happy, and bought me roughly 45 minutes of peace I otherwise wouldn't have :) And speaking of the ladies, Bobbi did a good job with the camera
Love Jonah's energy/personality. Like to see more of him. He really set it off at the 2nd Wrecker Games.
Peanut! FTW
She's definitely the star of this whole operation
I was half asleep and read this as “Peanut. WTF!”
Seems like one of the cool parts of this kind of work is meeting all kind of cool people. 👍
Good camera work Bobbi. Nice to see Peanut in the video too. She is a great dog.
You brought the right helper PEANUT!
Good job Bobbie!
That Hummer was definitely part of the 40psi club. Lower the pressures and it may have been able to get out on it's own.
Nice recoveries!! You are all awesome!! Can't believe Matt had to tell the guy to be "off the brakes when I pull". DUH!!! It will be nice to see how many recoveries the Banana has made!!
Not too hard & not too easy ! Just right !! I LOVE YOU ALL @ M.O.R.R. !!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
You got Peanut...you don't need anyone else!
she knocked it out of the park on cam.
Matt and the boys. perfect.
Good video. Don’t ever do what?? Stand on the brakes when being towed/pulled?
Bobby did better then her hubby driving. 😂😅😊
People seem to have no concept of slow application of the throttle. It always seems they almost STOMP the gas and induce a spin 🤦♂️. I’m pretty convinced half the recoveries are due to people just not being good drivers.
It's crazy how many people cruise down the road with their foot switching between two positions: on the gas some arbitrary amount, and off the gas. Some people add the brake pedal in there too.
So many people both don't know how to modulate and are afraid of full throttle.
I would bet it's more than half...
Bobbi rocking the EDC shirt! Great camera work!
That Hummer sure was a bummer
Good video work, Bobbi(?). I was about to credit Peanut...
Thanks for picking up trash from the trash that leave it. I taught my kids while camping, hiking, you always pick up when you arrive and when you leave and that was taught to me. I am 59 and have picked up so much trash it's sickening.
Hi Ho Silver Away, was at the end of the episode. At the beginning was ..
(depending on your age) ..1st introduction, went like ..
"Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear", followed by, "From out of the west with the speed of light and a hearty 'Hi-yo, Silver!'"
The intro was later changed to:
A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty Hi-Yo Silver!,
The Lone Ranger! ...
With his faithful Indian companion Tonto, the daring and resourceful masked rider of the plains led the fight for law and order in the early western United States!
Nowhere in the pages of history can one find a greater champion of justice!
Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear!
From out of the past come the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver! The Lone Ranger rides again!
Its funny customers get embarrassed that they need a pull so don't show my face. But we see your truck from all angles. I am pretty sure everyone who does know him, knows he was stuck. Nothing to be embarrassed about, you made a mistake and went in with too heavy a load to help someone. Now you need help. We all help sometimes. The more you ask for help the less you will feel bad about. Failure is doing something you know you don't know how to do when you could have asked for help. AMAZING content as always, the boys are becoming pros like their Dad. Kulin* let a teaser out with lets go back and work on the Spud Truck. "Too the Spud Truck!!!"
Maybe his wife doesn't know.....
Maybe the truck is stolen 😂😂😂
He’s not in uniform, but he still played the two wheel drive game 😎
Another fun recovery video!
Thank you Matt for picking up the plastic bottle -- wish people would pack out their trash.
Thank you Matt and crew for the adventure and seeing some nice recoveries !
For what it is worth, if I recall correctly (hopefully that is enough disclaimers for the trolls), that version of the hummer is a hummer inspired body on a Yukon chassis with a Yukon drivetrain. I call them a Yukon.
I call them yuppy , ugly & would nt take one if you gave it to me . & garbage
Yep, they’re basically a Yukon/tahoe/suburban with a different body. They have a few upgrades, but not really much that makes them what you’d actually expect.
The H3 was basically a Colorado or whatever, but most of them had some actually good offroad stuff like lockers and bigger tires.
Correct, GMT820 chassis - but with the exception of adding 3/4 ton drive line components for the front end.
So I guess that makes it a 'Yukker" or "Hukkon"
Yep just had one in the bay the other day and that's exactly what I said. Then I commented to a coworker on how useless the front hitch receiver is cause there's no way to get your pin in unless it's a foot long. Lol
Wow I didn't think ppl could be dumb enough to hold breaks while trying to be pulled out.🤦
Had a guy hold brakes and crank the wheels to the left… should have been an easy pull. Dude made it 100 times harder.
that guy holding the breaks is what you would call "not smart"
ha, absolutely-i also do a lot of recoveries and you’d be utterly floored how many people are sitting there behind the wheel watching me try to break em loose and they’re still in park with the handbrake on. one time i was taking up the slack in my line and i had someone walk up to the window and accuse me of trying to abandon him.. he had no clue he had to drive the thing 😂
That night time pull, I now see the powder sand floating in the air, super fluff
The new and improved Hummer. All show and No Go.
Just because you have a hummer, ya still gota know how to drive it !!!!!
Not a new electric, still a piece of junk
wrong tires on it. or it had a 1.5 Litre 4 banger under the hood
I find it amazing that he knows of the Lone Ranger. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid. Yes I am old.
It’s so entertaining! People go straight to the trap absolutely convinced that their suv/truck was made for that environment and find out that apparently it’s not…
I'd like to see an episode from Peanut's perspective, or have her be in charge of one of the recoveries!
it's a dog, dude...
I love it when Matt tells the customer, OFF OF THR BRAKES. Now I know how those idiots get stuck.
I watch it all. still forget to press the thumbs up. getting better
Thank-you Bobbie :) good job 👍
I believe it is an H4, I wouldn't call it a hummer.
It's a H2, H3s are smaller and H4 are the new electric version
@@mercenarystagehandthe new one IS the GMC Hummer ev, back in the day, a h4 was a concept called HX, but never released to the public
Its a lobster.
They call that a Hummer like people now call Dodges Jeeps
They aren't either, though. They are fiats. :P
If thats the case, then you are all a bunch of fools. Because your parents were fools. And they didnt teach you how to identify a vehicle by anything other than its maker. Make and model are not the same thing, geniuses. How effing bored are you people? Get a life, simpletons!!!!!!!!!!!!
That last recovery on the f150… Something about the night time, the camera angles, the banana working hard seems reminiscent of retro MORR back before the wrecker and Morvair were a thing. Pretty cool. I’ve been watching for a while😊
Im so glad that you are being the recovery tally back I have missed it since you stopped doing it 😁
Don't necessarily agree with the American vehicle fetish, but I do respect MORR and your great family.
What would you use?
They are in America.
What non American vehicle you got that’s doing more?
I’d love a Hilux here in the states! Loved the one I had in Afghanistan.
@@hateforall4012that’s not a bad choice
Night recoveries, gotta love it. Especially when it's 100+ degrees during the day!
If you didn't say anything I wouldn't have had the slightest clue that someone else was on the camera. Kudos to Bobbie!
After watching all the crazy s--t in the news your a refresh on reality 11 Percent better than most Gifted people working to be A Great American Respect Brother🙏
That Dodge was nearly helpless 😂
Your cautionary tale on what not to do during a rescue highlights the importance of safety and preparedness in emergency situations, offering valuable lessons and promoting awareness to ensure everyone's well-being. And I am Floating Village Life In From Viet Nam
3:20...Wrecker Rick finger bang! Nice!
Very retro feel to this one ❤ no winch lots of banana and matt solo recovery
yeah off the brakes helps a lot 🤣 great job on the recoveries guys, thanks for sharing
I read your having some hot temperatures not far from your home MOR ! Bearing in mind Temperatures are taken in the Shade not direct sunlight So its always hotter outside
It goes better with the brakes off lol,,,,Good recoveries guys....Stay safe
Man the banana holds a special place in my heart I love that thing. Wish my xj could be like it.
love Jonah's reference to Aerosmith (back in the saddle). Good to see Jonah on a job.
Like to see all the recoveries, building on the weekend, thanks MORR
Nighttime video with the blowing sand, flying sand, brake lights, headlights very cool!
Glad to see the Hummer this time is actually a Hummer and not a Humvee
Thank you for always picking up the garbage!
Awesome camera work; The dust cloud made the whole show! Well done MORR Team!
When you have to tell someone to not be on the brakes while you are pulling them out.
Hard to believe.
Just watched a video of yours from 4 years ago Matt and Rudy - Rudy looked just like Carter does now! (Both handsome young men of course!)
I love hearing that Morrvaire engine roar!
