Diaz doesn’t have the knockout pressure nor explosiveness of Gilbert but he does have a god gas tank, granite chin and the best 1-2 in the business. So like Gilbert says: “if Diaz survives the second round, he can win”.

I don't think so. I rewatched the Gilbert burns fight and khamzat got hit alot, in the 3rd round khamzat really looked gassed it was a close fight and I feel burns exposed him abit. This is a big challenge for khamzat.

I actually said the SAME thing before the Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Chandler fight. Chandler is an absolute beast, and Tony was on a very steep decline with absolutely no wrestling or striking defense. I actually thought that fight was an abomination, because it seemed like there was no possible way that Tony escaped without a bad knockout. And of course that's what happened. The Diaz vs. Khamzat fight is the same thing, but at least Khamzat is quite a bit less violent with his striking than Chandler. Losing via a submission is a lot better than a soccer kick to the chin. But yeah, Hardy is right to some degree. It's an abomination and shouldn't have been made.

Dan hardy is kind of out to lunch, he wasn’t saying any of this when Diaz was fighting edwards was he?
Edwards at the time had no real ground threats for Diaz. I think he's shown now against Usman that people need to be wary of his ground game now as well, but on paper it was just a striking match and Nate's no slouch on the feet even in his older age.
Khamzat has been wrestling and grappling for 23 years now at 28 and is a big man for 170. Nate used to fight at 155 and Khamzat would have to cut off his leg to make 155 lol.
You gotta also keep in mind that Hardy and Helwani are on the outs with the UFC/Dana White, so any narrative they can agree with that also allows them to criticize Dana White or the company, they usually play up.
@Quik_Quack Gilbert hits harder than Diaz does and has a significantly more advanced and impressive ground game with accolades Diaz couldn't IMO come close to such as 4x grappling world champion.
I'd take Burns to beat Diaz probably 9/10 times.
