Reflection was my first Amouage. It is one of their lighter scents. I currently have Honour which is a really nice floral, however it does have tuberose in it. I would recommend trying Dia which is soapy, aldehydic floral with some other notes like sandalwood. It is light and strong at the same time. I am thinking to get a full bottle. I have the body lotion and several samples of Portrayal. I really like it but for now not wanting a full bottle and to me it definitely has some animalic note in it even though it is not listed. It is beautiful and a bit strange at the same time. For bolder and more oriental scents I love Lyric, Epic and Memoir, but not sure they would be your cup of tea as they are strong. I also love Sunshine.
I save samples that have the sprayer, rinse them out, use the sprayer with water and dump those dabber into the sprayer vials. Works great!
The Ivory Route gets way more feminine in the drydown. I'm female and have Ivory routr and my first impression was exactly the same: that it is rather masculine. But that changes quite fast. I recommend you give it abother try for some time on your skin 😊
I’m glad to hear a fragrance reviewer talk about how some of us like more feminine fragrances. Personally I will go so far as say I don’t like masculine or unisex. For instance I purchased Gris Charnel and loved it for awhile, only to now think it is too masculine. It will be a great gift for my son!

I’ve been thinking about Gris Charnel for a while, and I happen to love unisex fragrances. I definitely need to order a sample.
I’m the same, however Gris Charnel is the only unisex fragrance I love. It’s ethereal and soft without being overly sweet like a lot of feminine fragrances are.

I used to work for Kilian’s fragrances and “Woman in Gold” was really a popular one back in 2018.It’s ultra feminine and sophisticated perfume,although the longevity it’s very weak.From amouage I love only “Blossom Love” as it’s most feminine then other perfumes from the collection,which have strong retro/vintage vibes.

In my opinion Ivory Route is not at all overly masculine when on the skin. It dries down to a spicy vanilla kind of scent. I also like really feminine scents and it’s one of my favorite fall/winter scents to wear

Love this type of video! Who hasn't been here...thrilled to receive all the Luckyscent samples, frustrated with the dabbers 😂. Have you tried the Ivory Route on skin? I find it becomes more 'feminine' in the dry down! And I just love Bouquet Ideale, too! Even lovelier on the skin with super pretty scent bubble.
Ivory route!!!! I was in London, year 2016. Christmas shopping at Harrods. That is where I first experienced Xerjoff and the Penhaligon line. I found one of my favourite Xerjoffs there and have never looked back! Please give it time. Yes, it has that masculine edge but wait for it to mesh with your skin. I know you will LOVE it!!! It is what I imagine Angelina Jolie would wear if she wore a Xerjoff (I love her 😄). Also, test it on your skin. It is so different on skin than on paper.
Been playing with Amouage sunshine woman…of course I have the little dabber from lucky scent so I’m having a hard time really testing it out! I had one for Lira as well which I really couldn’t get a good test of but found a good deal so I jumped on it and I love it! Very gourmand!
Amouage Sunshine Woman is my fav out of the ones I’ve tried from Amouage. On my skin, I can really smell the tobacco in the opening (I’m usually not crazy about a tobacco note) but once it starts drying down I love it.
I absolutely love Love Tuberose and really like Sunshine Woman. I'm still working on Blossom Love.
I also fell for Bouquet Ideale just recently. It reminds me of many things but overall it makes me think of strawberry jam smeared on musky woods 👌👌a bottle on the way for this Autumn 🍂 🍁
Really enjoyed this style of video - speed sampling! Would recommend trying Erawan on skin and giving it some time. At first, I was like, "bracing green men's cologne - NOPE." But 15 minutes later, it'd gone creamy, soft and sweet. It's so unique and peaceful, I had to have it! Not saying you'll necessarily find it FBW, but you may enjoy the drydown. Can't recall what else you've tried from Dusita, but consider sampling more of her florals - Mélodie de l'Amour, Fleur de Lalita and my instant love La Douceur de Siam. Perfumer Pissara does flowers so beautifully, IMO! Her new one, Anamcara, is on its way to meee 🤗

I really dislike little small little sample bottles I don’t understand why they are still in the market especially if we have to pay for them. You’re getting me so curious about dolce Amalfi and bouquet ideal 😍😍
I don't mind them, it's easy to keep in a bag
And they charge up to $8 for some of these samples, I don’t understand why they can’t provide samples with atomizer given to customers at saks, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, or the pre packages samples from the brand. I despise their little style too, it’s one thing to give that in store. But for online purchases, they need to do better.

Thank you for all these nice reviews, I have from Xerjoff both Dolce Amalfi & Bouquet Ideale, they are amazing I hated them for a while after reading Fragrantica's reviews but I revisited them this fall and they regain their spots in my collection. I also have Dama Bianca which is a really soft powdery sweet fragrance.
I'm so glad you like the Bouquet and Dolce as well!! Yes I had the Dama Bianca but I wasn't enjoying the Kumquat note in the beginning :( But yes such a beautiful fragrance!

Have Amouage Sunshine and it is so unique, i love it! Do like Blossom love however i don't think it is very unique. Would love to try Love Tuberose. Portrayal Women is a beautiful scent and i think i will be getting it. Thank you for your video💐
I have Portrayal and I love it. Now I don't know if you'll like it because it's a heavy white floral frag! But it is kind of in the same vein as Alien which I know you enjoy, but more luxurious! I blind bought mine but yes get a sample of it to be sure.
I am also wanting to acquire an Amouage scent. I haven't found "the one" just yet. I would suggest you try a sample of Portrayal on your skin before you buy. I was intrigued when I sprayed it on my tester card but it was quite different on my skin. Thanks for your videos, they are always great!

Totally agree about the Lucky scent fragrance vials! Ivory route reminded me of Initio Rehab, which is basically an overpriced Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb (men's frag), which also smells good. I have an Amouage Portrayal decant and it reminds me of Givenchy l'interdit's older sister, if that makes sense. It's refined, less loud, and the sillage is there! I'd recommend a decant off ebay for around $20. Good luck! ❤ great review.

Lira is my favorite so far but they are all so different, it’s hard to choose. I honestly think These two new ones will go to the top of my list soon. I’ll do a comparison video when I have them all!:)
Bouquet Ideale is absolutely gorgeous. It’s my favorite Xerjoff so far.
Portrayal Woman is a sparkly fresh white floral scent. It's predominantly jasmine but the cleanest jasmine I've ever smelt with a hint of tuberose. It's beautiful and for me very uplifting.
For me Portrayal is an animalistic jasmine, it’s so beautiful and luxurious

- I have the travel set of Killian Moonlight in Heaven - lovely scent but longevity isn’t there!
And can’t find an Amouage that I love! And no, if the sample isn’t a spray bottle, I don’t get it lol! Etsy is my sample ordering friend lol!
Honestly I pay a little more for decants or original sample sprays on eBay because those are in nice spray bottles - usually in 2ml and 3 ml sizes as well as opposed to just .7ml from luckyscent.
I've tried many from Amouage and Journey is my ultimate favorite :) It's worth a try.
Amouage Sunshine is my favorite and I have Blossom Love too.
Don't be afraid of ivory route being masculine..this leans in the middle for me..The sexiest fragrance I own..Don't let the fragrance wear you, instead, YOU wear the fragrance! Xoxo

I absolutely LOVE peach notes - perhaps that why you couldn't love Tabit?
Yes - most of the Tiziana's I have have peach - I just can't do it - but there's an underlaying screechy note in almost all of them that although I think the scents are incredible - I can't do it for myself.:/
Blossom love has vintage vibes. My top 3 of this house crimson rocks, epic, sunshine/ lilac love (summer/winter). Epic is very interesting. I am curious to try portrayal because of tobacco note.
Royal Muska is one of the most beautiful musk scents i've ever tried. Definitely worth sampling. I owned Musk Therapy and sold my bottle; Initios don't work for me as well.

If you layer Ivory route with a vanilla like kayali vanilla 28, You will be in love..makes it more feminine..Absolute masterpiece!
If You like Bouquet Ideale, try The House of Oud Golden Powder! And You should try Absolute Afrodisiac from Intio, Dia and Material from Amouage!
Hmmm always hard to predict what people will like and what they won’t but I’m not sure you would love Portrayal, it’s feminine but very bold and the Jasmine really packs a punch. It’s very heady and enveloping. I actually think the most approachable Amouage fragrances I’ve ever tried are Ashore, Reflection (if you don’t mind melon-y cucumber-y vibes) and Meander (oh- and Sunshine haha).
I think those dabber samples are universally hated ☺️ I can’t understand why luckyscent persist with them. Their customers have been complaining for years!
You have me curious about bouquet ideale, I seem to have had the opposite experience to you, I love many Amouage, have struggled with Xerjoff haha

Also re: amouage, don’t rule out trying the men’s range. A lot of women I know prefer sunshine man, for example.
I bought Ideal Oud from Mizensir, and I love it. It's a really pretty, comforting feminine oud scent.
I have a few Francesca Bianchi's perfumes and love them. I'm not keen on anything too animalic myself, but the ones I have that have a touch of that are so complex that animalic part is only experienced for a short while. One you may like is Tiger Tiger (or is it Tyger Tyger?). I can't remember, but that one is deep and warm, encompassing and lovely, and not animalic, or not to my nose 😊
I have Portrayal and I love it! It starts with a bright, hyperrealistic jasmine laced with a tuberose edge that at times goes just a hint mentholated. Then this deep, warm, resinous base kicks in from the vanilla, tobacco, and elemi. On my skin, the tobacco isn't ashy or smokey. It's more of a cross between an unlit cigarette and unlit cigar. The base is 50% resinous vanilla/elemi, 25% tobacco, 25% white floral. It smells rich (both financially and fragrance-y, lol), and intriguing. I find myself going back to sniff my wrists constantly when I wear it. Since it's a bold jasmine on a deep base, I feel like fans of Alien would enjoy the similar note composition. (It doesn't smell like Alien but follows the same journey if that makes sense). My only concern for you would be that the bold white floral opening could give you a headache. Worth a shot to try on skin!
I've just received my blindly bought Ivory Route and I love it! To me it actually does have a kind of animalic opening. I fully understand the name. I picture merchants travelling to get their precious goods on horseback or camels. The scent takes me on a journey to some remote, exotic destination.
Intoxicated by kilian is a gorgeous coffee scent and Moonlight in Heaven is also beautiful especially the blue juice. I own both and Intoxicated is my favorite!
But Intoxicated leans more masculine than feminine, isn’t it?
So my husband and I sample a lot. We ordered perfume tester spray bottles from Amazon, like 100 of them for 10 bucks. We transfer the dabbers to spray bottles. Makes alllll the difference and save a ton of money by still being able to get the small 1ml samples ❤️
I own blossom love and absolutely love it! It took a few times for me too but I love it now. I really want Love Tuberose and Liliac Love from Amouage.

I have a fairly large Amouage collection including Portrayal Woman. If you like Alien you will probably like Portrayal.
Portrayal is a very beautiful floral fragrance! I can send you a sample if you have like a PO Box or something😇 you may also like Honour by Amouage, or Dia (Dia is def in my top 5 by Amouage. It’s a very soapy clean, bougie scent that reminds many people of Chanel No. 5, but I think that’s an insult because it’s muchhhh better lol)

I live in the US (Michigan to be exact, so we’re close neighbors😇 lol) Honour is the #1 Amouage fragrance for women in the US because it truly is a feminine dream and very mass appealing! Top notes are Pepper, Rhubarb Leaves, Coriander- Mid notes are Jasmine, Tuberose, Gardenia, Lilly of the Valley, and Carnation- Base is vetiver, frankincense, Amber, Opoponax, and leather. Very dynamic white floral fragrance! It’s supposed to be inspired by The “Honour”, beauty, and poetic love of Madame Butterfly. I actually work for Amouage so if you’d ever like to try, just let me know! :)
I love your videos, we have similar taste,I dont like either over woody scents,or cinqmmon or nutmeg,I only like sandalwood in certain fragrances just like tuberose,and I’m not a fan of geranium either
I got samples set of Mizensir. After a month, I bought a bottle of Tres chere. It’s such a unique scent & definitely not something you smell in regular parfum.
I will get for your love next it really smells delightful. Real Oud will be among the last in the line only because I have other Oud fragrances from Middle Eastern houses and they pack a punch so Mizensir bottle is not a need.
Signature from Mont Blanc is very similar to Musk Therapie and more affordable. And the performance from Signature is even better!
False! I have montblanc and a sample of musk therapy, they’re not close or reminiscent of each other. Montblanc is an unnecessary sickly sweet perfume with lime, I can make that in my kitchen with some overload white sugar and lime. Worse fragrance to ever exist.

You might like Atomic Rose by Initio. I liked how it smelled but i had an allergic reaction when i tested it on my skin. It’s a unique modern rose scent with a hint of airiness about it
I would be careful with that one and buy a generous decant first. There is a metallic note that I can pick up with this scent, that lingers and makes me nauseous every single time I put it on. I wanted so badly to like it since I love the entire Delina line, which it is frequently compared to.
Wien it comes to Amouage I'd like to sample Reflection, Dia, Figment someday. Although it's not in my price range and I don't think I'm ever buying a bottle
I tried Do Son not bad but The only tuberose frag that I love so far is Watch from Micallef and Voulez coucher avec moi from Kilian😍

OMG!!🤣 I also smelled something different in Dolce Amalfi. I actually smelled like coca cola or something. But then I also read the reviews about a spicy juicy fruit. And thats it!! That is ALL that I smell now!😄 But I like it.

I received my first niche samples from The scent room. I got BDk Pas ce soir, Etat Libre Yes I do, Montale Rose Elixir, Intio addictive vibrations, and Nishane Hundred silent ways. Do you have any thoughts on these? I wasn’t super blown away… maybe I’m too raised on designers to know. Lol
I haven’t smelled the rose elixir or the addictive vibrations. Hundred silent ways is lovely but I didn’t love it for me:)

i Love only Love tuberose from Amouage.. Intio and Amouage is a house that is challenging for me. I love Dusita Fleur le lalita. Love to try more from Dusita. I Have Dolce Amalfi and totally love it!!

I have Fig Tea & love it 🤍 it’s so cozy & I also have Do Son EDP 🌸 it’s so beautiful 😍 & I have Initio Musk Therapy it’s an incredible fragrance - my husband & I share it. Just love the blackcurrant in it 🤍 it’s not a fragrance for beginners I would say. I HAVE tried PORTRAYAL Woman by Amouage & it was WAY too intense for me (thank goodness for samples) It’s very heavy, thick white flowers and has an accord I didn’t like at all. May be the elemi. I think you would like either For Your Love or Luxury by MIZENSIR - they are very feminine and expensive smelling.

I find all the Amouages challeging. Also Portrayel. None of them goes the "classic" way, and that challenges me a bit. I owned Blossom Love, Love Mimosa and Sunshine. So sold first to.
I havnt found a feminin, more "classic" scent yet from Amouage, and tested them all..but they are interesting!!!

No just amouage, I’m struggling with most perfumes, I don’t appreciate this unisex trend. Some things are meant to stay in their role, because I don’t want to walk around smelling masculine or smelling like black currant and lavender. Which are two prominent notes found in men colognes.
I love love tuberose from Amouage. My other favorites are lilac love, lyric, dia and gold (none of these are safe blind buys). I don’t like Portrayal at all! All I can smell in that is tobacco. I’m very surprised that other comments say they mostly smell jasmin. I get no floral, I smell only tobacco.
I agree. On my skin it smells like smoke in the dry down, almost like an ashtray, I don't smell fresh tobacco leaves, which I would like. The jasmin is only there in the opening. Sometimes I try it and it's a little different. Overall it's a very hard one to like, and certainly not one for Ilythia imo. 😊

Look no further than Lilac Love. The perfect floral gourmand. By far the most beautiful out of the more modern/mainstream Amouage.
I like the scent of Lilac Love but I have tried wearing it and I dind't love it on me for some reason. But you're right so beautiful and that' bottle - to die for!
Ilythia, you're not going to like Portrayal, it's completely different to the fragrances you like IMO. This is a hard one to like. ☺

I always thought “cuir” was pronounced like “cure”, but I’ve never heard it spoken until now.
Do not blind buy Portrayal Woman!!! 🙅♀️ The jasmine is indolic in the opening and the tobacco is a bit ash tray like. I think you might actually dislike it.

What does oud smell like as a note?
It’s a very distinct potent woody note that can smell sometimes more dirty or sometimes cleaner depending. Fragrantica describes it as rich, nutty and musty. Once you know it you can’t forget it.

I sold my bottle of Ivory Route. Didn't like it at all, quite masculine indeed.
I have to say that Creme de Cuir on my skin smells like the interior of a car during a hot hot summer day. Leathery. It makes me sick to be honest, be careful with that one.

OMG what is with Ivory Route and everyone finding it beautiful. I cannot stand it, makes me wanna puke. I have quite a few perfumes and tested loads and this is one of the most horrible ones I smelled 😬 so old-fashioned overly spice bitter blaaaaah
I've gotta skip around - I cant give 36 almost 40 minutes to see one bottle picked - this is way too long.

Sorry about that! Some people prefer longer videos, some shorter. I also did put a timestamp in the description saying to jump to 10:34 for my top pics. And it's totally find if you skip around. I do that too on some videos. But I feel you - sometimes I'm in the mood for a short, to the point video and other times I prefer nice long ones. :). Thanks for your feedback.
