The Ford explorer sports Trac has a lot of potential , you can definitely do a coyote swap 5.0 coyote V8 , 5.2 Voodoo Coyote V8. One mod you can put a current Mustang dash or or a current Ford explorer dashboard.
I’ve got the 01’ 2 Door Sport model. Currently working on fixing some shit under the hood but I loveeee driving these. The factory suspension sucks and I need to replace the shocks on mine but these rigs are wonderful. I gave myself a nice touch screen stereo as well and put some nice seat covers in. I’m thinking about ordering a new old stock dash and painting it so it’s not all that 2000s space gray on the inside
Did your door unlock and lock button stay on even after your turn your truck off? Mine do...I'm pretty sure it's draining the battery slowly. Also, I installed dome led lights and they suddenly don't turn on when I open the door to get in. I'll probably have to go back to the oem halogens.
it's very broad and depends on how much you want to spend on the setup, when we did mine they were $250 i believe in total between the new housings, the projectors and the halo rings. They do require substantial modification to the housings as the lens has to come off, you have to modify the rear of the housings to accept the Projectors, which can be very difficult, and then have conversion harnesses for the bulbs to function, it's pretty extensive but i enjoyed it.
Jim Savage well any 95-01 Explorer seats bolt up to the ST, since the seat brackets are the exact same bolt pattern between them, I’d say something like the Eddie Bauer seats would be a huge upgrade from the stock cloth seats if you have those
Do you know if I need to replace the transmission sensors is it difficult to do. Also if I need to take it to the auto shop to replace it can 8 do it at any transmission shop or should I go to ford for it
I’m not sure on that one, I’d probably take it to a transmission specialist shop over a dealership as most dealerships are scam artists anyways, I’m pretty sure most of the sensors minus like the speed and reverse sensors are internal, but don’t take my word on that, that’s again something I’m not 100% sure of
So the console, stereo and better headlights.. so your "best convenience upgrades" for an explorer are things car people immediately upgrade on every vehicle 😂

My '03 Sport Track rides so nice! Just stock!! She's smooth as glass handles great, very responsive and I wouldn't change a thing!!
They need to put the a lot of different trucks in Forza 👍👍

My old one had ever option only including a 6-disc factory radio all I've done was upgraded the speakers it sounds

They’re the standard sport Trac lights but custom modified, same as 01-03 Sport

Not really a mod, but painting the cladding makes them look better.
I have an 03. Do you know of any seats compatible (maybe from an Explorer) that would be an upgrade. Mine don't recline at all.

Do you have a link for the headlights? Because I have the 01 explorer sport 2 door and an 01 sport trac and they both need new headlights.
They’re actually custom built retrofits! I got some projectors and the black housings and tore into them

They’re custom built, we used the standard black lights you can buy and we bought all the parts to build them, I put out a 2 part series on them
