    How in the world is changing how planes are boarded going to generate revenue lol. You can already pay to "upgrade" your boarding group

      It may have to do with seating efficiency. The faster they can seat passengers, which is usually the longest holdup for a plane to depart, the faster they can turn planes around. A few minutes saved can add up significantly, allowing them to add more flights to the schedule, generating more revenue.

      @@platymusPrime That's a good point. Even a couple extra flights a day at one airport a lot of potential extra revenue.

      @@saramae9878 yeah exactly, I could be way off base but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the reason, these companies will just about anything to make an extra buck

    Seating on southwest is the most annoying part of the flight. It's the reason I much prefer any other premium airline.
