    Some don’t want to buy old jade bc it contains someone else soul… I can use all the help i can get around here… but weirdly jade from graves is sought after. I bought a apple green bead from ancient mesoamerica, from a grave, I had a lot of Mexican ppl trying to randomly harm me.

    I bought this tricolor g/l/r pendant as vintage. The color looks natural, there’s other features in the stone like golden silk. Overall the luster is honey like. Everyone just says it’s unusual. I think that means it’s probably real and therefore kind of god like. It honestly scares me I think it can influence ppl. I’d almost rather sell it for a lot but I think it chose me. The thing is spooky very life like. Like Robert the doll of jade. Who knows maybe it’s real. The coloration looks rainbow like bc the lavender and green combine to form dark blue at the middle and the orangey to yellow tones are there. The top is more pink. Like a guru rainbow body tangkha. I will try to upload pics to the discord.

    What is good about Jade? Is it about art or about good for the health? Can anyone please answering this question.

    By any chance, do you know what year (roughly) did they started the b, b+c jade treatment?

    • @JewelsoftheTrade
      @JewelsoftheTrade  Před měsícem +1

      Even though jadeite jade doesn’t necessarily required advanced technology to dye it (C Jade), it was relatively uncommon before the 1980’s due to jade’s insignificance in the world market while China was under Mao’s rule. As for polymer impregnation (B Jade), I don’t believe that existed before the 1980’s either. So if jade is over 40-50 years old, it’s unlikely (though not impossible) that it’s treated. However, other than the occasional art deco piece, it’s pretty unusual to see jadeite jade jewelry from before the 1970s at all. Though, again, not unheard of.

    The reverse side of the jade cabochons is a puzzle to me. I just bought
    a new one with a flat back and `fei cui` apple green colour. It looks nice,
    but I'm suspicious.

    • @JewelsoftheTrade
      @JewelsoftheTrade  Před 2 měsíci

      It’s not a hard-and-fast rule. It’s suspicious if it’s a fine (“fine” meaning >$10k or so) cab, but keep in mind that different jade cutters have different methods. For instance, Guatemalan cutters don’t tend to double-cab their work. Did your purchase come with a gem report?

    Hi, I have been listening to you for ages and learned a lot. In my country no one knows about Jade so it is very hard for me to find it. I have one question, what do you think about the whole seller 3Jade. They sell mostly nephrite and it is fairly cheep. I found a nice piece, does not cost much about 16 USD. The nephrite is not really green more grey, brown but I love the motive. Do you think that this nephrite is real i.e. not a simulant but just "low quality" i.e not really "nice" nephrite? I like the motive and even the colour and you say nephrite is cheeper and rarely treated or simulated. Just a hint if this type of nephrite is true nephrite, THX.

    • @JewelsoftheTrade
      @JewelsoftheTrade  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi there! I’m so glad you enjoy the channel! A nephrite piece could be $16. In my opinion, if you like it - get it! Regardless of whether or not it’s “real jade,” the important thing is that it’s a piece you love for a price in your budget.

    • @alligator4347
      @alligator4347 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@JewelsoftheTrade THX for your answer. I am not concerned about the price. It is more the fact that the piece could end up breaking because it does not have the structure of real nephrite and is not as strong. I have been looking for that motiv for years and if someone offered it like the one I found I would be willing to pay much more, it's just that I never found something to my like. p.s I love your chanel, your way of presenting and your enthusiasm. Your a gem in the CZcams world!

    • @JewelsoftheTrade
      @JewelsoftheTrade  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@alligator4347 Thank you for your kind words!! In all honesty, a piece of $16 genuine nephrite probably won’t be very tough unless it’s thick. Both jades range widely in toughness (resistance to breaking), and there is a correlation between price and toughness due to the quality. With that being said - if it’s not a ring, I wouldn’t be terribly concerned about toughness. Pendants and earrings don’t have as much contact with items that could break them, so as long as you don’t drop it - it should be fine 😊

    I don’t know the meaning of wearing Jade! Why Asian people love Jade especially elderly? Can anyone please reply.

    • @wengvu1551
      @wengvu1551 Před měsícem +1

      Jade brings good health to those who wear them. But don’t wear it if it has crack or cracks because it’ll bring serious sickness or even death- 99.9% true about it. We can’t explain these observations but it has been almost always true to owners of real jade jewelry.

    This person is incredibly frustrating. She tell you, you will know everything you need to know about Jade but that's not true. She doesn't answer questions in the comment section. The three sources she does a list Masonkay, Jademine, and freshwater don't even sell beads or are very limited. Freshwater seems to be on vacation or something. For people like me who are DIY you want to make our own necklaces bracelets and earrings etc.. Seems like all she's interested is spouting off her knowledge of Jade. Not interested in sharing resources. Don't believe me ask her a question see how that goes. Again I'm asking where I can acquire a large variety of natural Jade beads.
    Hope you have better luck!!
