Sean is a very lucky man. The Charlie Slater from 2000-2005 would have straight up floored him in about 4 seconds. Even Grant and Phil knew better than to mess with Charlie in their prime.

@@Tad1945 Grant never messed with Charlie during 2005-06 when they were both on the square at the same time. There was a scene where Charlie threatened Grant for humiliating Carla in front of the entire square and Grant almost s*it himself.

@@niallwatts789 Charlie Slater was a one man wrecking machine back in the early to mid 2000's. Remember the time he took out both the Mitchell brothers in 7 seconds? czcams.com/video/kqjLfupRvEk/video.html
Or when he almost beat Phil to death back in 2001 in one of the scariest scenes ever, even when it was off screen czcams.com/video/8SPLkTtbbYA/video.html
Or when in 2005, at the last fight of his prime, he threw Dennis around like a rag doll before the shocking twist which never quite left him the same again czcams.com/video/VweXrpreX-Y/video.html
Prime Charlie was an absolute beast that you'd be foolish to cross.

Shame hes not in eastenders Today in 2019. It was Bad writing in EE in 2016 and the previous time he returned they made Charlie to quiet and hardly any lines I mean come on he was a good Slater guy and in 2016 he was to quiet. That's not what he was before. But in 2019 they should have made him like this supporting Jean and being there for Kat and Mo and stacey and Martin. And being angry with Phil saying if your mum could see you now

It WAS November 2007 because I have vague recollections of this episode being not long after Bradley and Stacey's wedding - which was in late-October 2007. Plus, Charlie's wearing a poppy. I know they film episodes two months in advance, but Derek Martin would have been wearing it with the knowledge that the episode would be broadcast in November.
