He wasn't scared of anybody not even Phil despite the fact that Phil punched him to the floor. I think he respected Phil to a degree hence why he never fought back against him although he resisted fighting back for Roxy's sake and just continued to wind Phil up. He was a great character though and Robert Kazinsky is a class actor; hopefully he returns one day in the future cos Sean's story was far from finished.
