In a joint interview, "Young Royals" actors Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg and co-creator/head writer Lisa Ambjörn reflect on their memories from the final day of shooting the hit Swedish teen drama, which wrapped up its three-season run earlier this month.

love these 3 🥺 the fact that this wasn't just some other acting job or writing job for them is beautiful, they all believed in the story and made it their mission to do the story justice, it's incredible and so admiring, they did an amazing job. They became family with not only each other but also their fans, i'm so proud and fortunate to have been part of this beautiful journey, young royals will forever be in my heart. 💜

I’m really glad she told them to turn the cameras off when he was emotional, being able to have that privacy and feel safe is super important

i absolutely love lisa! you can just tell how amazing their relationship is with her and how they all love each other. LOVED seeing her cameo in the bday episode as well!!!

@@fluffg-nx7ns cameo means like a "guest appearance" - like when a celebrity appears in a tv show for a couple of seconds or something.. though i didnt actually notice lisa in that episode so i dont know specifically which scene @samanthakvers is talking about.

The fact that you can really see this whole journey means as much to them as it does to us, which is why we love them. For me, they embody the word LOVE - the cast, the crew, their beautiful story. Young Royals Forever, Young Royals, Baby!! 💜💜💜⚜️
At that moment EdMar was born for a super bright future . His PARENTS, Wille and Simon should be very happy for the birth of this boy. They will be proud of him and never disappointed. 💚

😭 wanted to be brave and watch this but found out quickly I'm not the strongest, already felt lump in my throat, tears in my eyes rising😭, realization hitting me...their chemistry will be missed forever💜
It was such a beautiful end to the most brilliant and beautiful show I've ever seen.

Lisa , Omar and Edvin , when they speak , all is true , all is emotional because they are so kind , so adorable, so talented . Oh my god these three are just such a blessing for this industry and world. The way they talk about their show, their characters…I can’t even begin to explain how special and beautiful that is and how thankful I am for all of them. You really notice how much they care about all this..this is real for them just like it is for us fans, real emotions. I from the start of young royals, had a feeling that this is special. That this cast and crew are something special and that they are the only ones who truly can understand and connect with their fans on that level. And watching them talk about how the ending of yr and everything made them feel just proves it even more. Young Royals is a revolution , in every sense. Its story and the people who made it to what it is will forever be in my heart. I‘ll never forget this time and though it really hurts that it’s over, the journey has been too amazing to wallow in the pain. It has impacted me in so many positive ways and that’s what will always stay with me. Young Royals forever💙
I Love how pure omar is. I think he give always so mich Passion and Love for this role. I think for edvin LG was different because he is acting for a long Time . And sometimes it feels as he is acting in the interviews too.... 😢😢

wow..the way these scene means so much to all of us. like, it was a goodbye scene for them for obvious reasons, cuz they shoot it last. but i feel like to the audience it was also a goodbye scene, in a sense. at least for me. because at that moment i was so hopeful they’d get back together, but at the same time it’s like i felt it’s their actual goodbye. i was so hoping for the endgame, but i also knew i have to be ready for them to actually split up. and so it’s like actually was a goodbye for me too, between them and like for me a goodbye to the show. and it was actually such a heartbreaking scene in all senses that i was completely broken, like physically in pain, it was awful. it’s like when you feel your heart doing these awful hard pumps and you just feel the heartbreak so much with your whole body. that’s why now it’s sooo fucking painful to see that scene and especially bts from that scene. idk i feel like i actually might be traumatized by that 😭 despite the happy ending lol
I still sob so hard it's physically painful. Even though the ending is hopeful and joyous, the heartbreak before is so real and raw that I can't imagine it not hurting.
Thank you, Lisa, for being brave enough to tell this story in the 3 parts you originally envisaged. I can't imagine the stress of waiting for renewal news, although you did give each season a proper ending.
I am one-off the older fans (51yrs older!) And not only did this series bring me joy and a sense of community, it actually helped me recognise and accept the queer person I've always been. And for this I thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I feel so guilty that I didn’t cry like most people I think it’s because I watched all two season on February 8th or before and up until march 11 I was obsessed but then I went on to be obsessed with something else so maybe that’s why I felt a bit detached but I will admit at some moments I felt super sad and maybe even gonna cry 😭

Omg omar talks 3 languages?
Omar's mother tongue is Spanish (he's from Venezuela) but he grew up in Sweden so he was raised bilingual. 🙂❤ And he learnt English in primary school, like everyone in Sweden.
