Marlena, you are truly an inspiration. My husband and I are taking our health back. You were part of that. I am not trying to lose 125 lbs but I am going to start make healthier choices. I'm a size 24-26 and I wear maxi dresses! Target has come out with some cute ones! I'm also short, so maxi skirts are usually too long for me, pull those suckers up to my armpits. But, the dresses usually have adjustable thin straps. Just pair a maxi just the way Marlena did! Torrid is another great site for maxis. Plus, you might be able to do what she did and go for a smaller size (XL or L) if they flare out! You don't need to fit in, you just need to be happy with you ;)
Marshall's has great maxi dresses as well. I'm going to buy myself one (thanks to your video!!). I loved all of the dresses and the way you styles them. And OMG I forgot about Charming Charlie's - I used to go there all of the time when I lived in CA
Split slips. Or pettipant. It's a silky slip that is comprised of legs instead of a skirt. They usually come in white, black, beige. And sometimes you can find them where they come in a longer length, but you can snip them to the length you want because they have these lace lines where you can cut them so they don't fray. They're very comfortable, and only add a thin layer, you can wear them instead of panties, if you wish. :D

Flats, sandals, gladiator sandals and even flip flops look super cute with the maxi dress! I've done all kinds of shoes and I really like the flatter sandals. Altho wedges are a good option, especially for me I can't wear a lot of heels or stilettos! :) Hope that helped!
Nice ideas! I'm shaped like you but I'm a plus size girl. All the dresses this year are strapless or have tiny straps, I was looking for other ways to wear them and make them more appropriate. Some great ideas here!!
