I actually canceled my S10 preorder and ordered S10e. One thing EVERY reviewer on youtube has failed to mention is the fact that you are getting same 5.8" screen size in a package that is 0.4 cubic inch smaller than a s9 (142.2 mm height for S10e compared to 147.7 for S9) AND 13g lighter (150g vs 163g). These are substantial numbers when it comes to every day use and for someone who hates large phones S10e is a god send.

Actually is not the same screen size because the ratio is slightly different, like the S8 5.8 inch display is actually smaller than a 5.8 inch display with the 16:9 ratio.

The S10e is way better than the oneplus 6t because it has an ultra wide angle camera, wireless charging, ip68 rating, better display and cameras(oneplus 6t second camera is useless just for depth), headphone jack, wifi 6 and faster download speeds....

The 10e offers much more than the XR. Display much better OLED. The headphone jack, expandable storage 128gb's base model, the FPS within the power button. For me it's just the better choice & worth the 750.00!

S10e does have face recognition as well as fingerprint. They both work really fast.

Compact size. (What it actually is meant for.)
Stereo speakers that blow the OnePlus 6T away.
And oh. Headphone jack.
Verdict: If on a super strict budget, you cannot go wrong with OnePlus 6T or the upcoming 7. But if you can pay a little more, S10e is the best value for money relatively.
(OnePlus has confirmed 7 will not have wireless charging, headphone jack, or water proofing. So you see, S10e will still do better. Because come on, it is a real flagship.)
You can take a screenshot by just swiping from left to right on the screen and that's it🙄

One year later, an S10, S20+ and iPhone 11 Pro later, I bought an S10e, and I wonder why did it take me so long. Its the same size as my previous 11 Pro (and similar screen), and yet it is more powerful (except for the camera).
Like my Nokia 6230b as a teen, this S10e will be one for the ages. Do yourself a favor, if you love compact phones, buy one before they sell out.
Love your reviews, Jessica, you're always so comprehensive and show real-world usage of the phone. You don't knock on the things a phone lacks, but rather say why the drawbacks are undermined by its better features.

I got this for my mom and she loves it. The perfect size for her and it is still a plenty large screen. She like the camera and so far no complaints. She prefers the pattern unlock as her finger print never seems to work properly. I tested it and it worked fine with mine.

I went from the S9 to the S10E. I believe I made the right choice in doing so. Really like the phone a lot and the features are perfect for my liking and needs.

My main reason on choosing the S10e over the other two wasn't that I didn't have the money as I would have easily went for the S10 Plus, and was so close to pulling the trigger, but in the end I just had enough with these curved edges from Samsung.
hell I am even trading in my Note 9 for it because of those damned edges mainly, and I am not missing it one bit as I never even used the S-Pen anyways.
I am just much happier with a flatter display, so I can actually put a glass screen protector on it and not feel like I am going to scratch the screen up anymore.
This is how I feel too. I'm on the S7 and at first the edge was appealing but now I just miss a flat screen.

Whats wrong with all you people? When i got my s9 i also got a screen protector (glass + curved) for 20 bucks right away.
It bubbles up in 3-4 days and becomes unusable

Got the s10e because of the flat display and the type of headphone hole. Iam excited so far to enjoy the light weight, display and camera.

The e is very good option, For my taste I prefer the S10, the fingerprint sensor must learn to use it correctly and is very good. For me the simplest way to make a screenshot is to scroll the hands on the screen, not using the buttons. How much does the fast charge for the Iphone cost? Well The S10 inclulle the fast charge.

Came from note 8, freeze a bunch. Got this s10e. No freeze yet doing same buncha apps I did with note 8.
Love the one ui, dark theme, ability to lock homescreen without using another ui. Bixby button remap without getting app to do it.
Battery is good thru out day. Charge by night time
Galaxy S10e is the one to go for, I had S8 and recently S9+ and was waiting for something smaller. Finally got it and Im happy 🙂
I switch phones every few months. I avoided Samsung's for the longest but with the one UI software fix these phones are truly great. Previous phone was a pixel 3 for reference. I give a slight edge to the s10e for sure.

@@seanybrow If purchasing for camera alone I would go with the pixel for sure. I haven't used any devices that can hold up against that camera, Samsung camera is very good however and I do enjoy the ultra-wide lens on the back.

The S10E is the greatest improvement since the note 3. The phone is like butter. The camera is addictive. I've had the phone two weeks and I've used 40 GB. This is a device that was thought out and designed by world class designers. This phone, a big big two thumbs up.
I upgraded from s9 to 10e with no regrets,,,but only 1 minor thing ,the battery but it compensates in other good ways👍
Can you get through a full day on in charge? I have the S9 plus and want the 10e, but I'm only concerned about the battery life
@@SolarSailor in my case yeh pal ,is preety decent .If u use it for work , comute and average general use s10e has a got a decent battery, plus myself i dont play games on phone wich is an extra , hope this helps.

everyone complains about how high the finger print reader is... but to me it makes sense that way you aren’t accidentally hitting it while using the phone, esp while holding with one hand. most people thumb always sits along side the phone. the button being low would be come a problem... just my opinion on it

Can upgrade my S8 in May. I'm enjoying what I see with the S10e. The flat screen will also probably hold onto a screen protector better. I'm waiting for the reviews on the new Huawei devices to come out also.

Bought mine 1 year after it's release. Paid 50% less, brand new unopened box. Battery is still extremely good and the micro sd card increases storage for all my photos. Love it just as much as when I bought it!
The phone is so light I forget thats its in my pocket. I love that. The finger print reader is so fast.
I've had an iPhone 6 for almost 4 years now, so even though the galaxy s10e doesn't have as many features as the s10 or s10+, it'll still feel like a huge upgrade for me, once I get it!

Watching on my new S10e in 2020. Wish it had 2x camera since I love zooming in.
Just a heads up to everyone who has an S10 or S10e the color saturation of the screen even when Vivid is enabled doesn't display the saturation correctly... To fix this "enable blue light filter" and set it at the lowest possible then go back and look at a picture, you will see how it is no longer washed out. You can see the correct color saturation with "blue light filter" off while in the recent apps screen but once you return to the image it washes out. I figured out applying "blue light filter" corrects it for now! I hope this helps!! I assume they are going to fix this in a future update. Cheers! 🍻

Sadly, one of the last small phones for people who dont want to tote a phablet everywhere.
The finger print seems to be used at the time you pick up the phone from a flat surface or reach the phone from the pocket, then the phone will be unlocked and ready to use when you see the screen. You don't need to keep your thumb on the finger print sensor while you are using the phone.
The s10e is well worth it had for a week and love it everything about it and its the perfect size and the battery it really good its amazing phone for the price x

@@katto. there are many options in the phone, like holding up your hand like you are going to wave goodbye in order to activate the camera to take a picture. You might need to look for them a bit, but that is samsung personified, many short cuts.

I've never used a fingerprint scanner or a Samsung for that matter and I'm using the s10e like a pro. The side location sensor seems very intuitive and you can register more than one fingerprint depending on how you hold the phone in different situations.
In other battery drain tests the s10e lasts longer than the xr

I recently picked one up, thus replacing an old, well-used, screen burned in Galaxy S7 Standard... To my surprise, the only difference between the S10e and the S7 is the actual screen size of the latter... Otherwise, the two units share the exact same footprint... For me, that's the best news, as most of the phones I've had were small... I'm not losing anything size-wise, but gaining in a whole lot of features! As of this writing, my S10e is now running Android 11 and One UI 3.1... According to Samsung, all S10 Series handsets will also be eligible to receive Android 12 and One UI 4.0 sometime in the future... I hope that I can keep this phone for as long as I did the S7!

I just bought a S10e 1 day ago from a iPhone 8. iPhones to me seem overrated. At my school everyone mostly has iPhones cause its popular but to me Samsung has improved throughout the years and can overtake apple anyday. So I think The S10s are one of the best smartphones out there on the market right now

Man that fingerprint sensor is a deal breaker... Why place it on the top of the phone where you have to stretch your thumb to reach it...
harald søvik However new tests show that the fingerprint on the s10 and s10 plus is in the middle of the screen. As a result of that the fingerprint sensor could get activated inside your pocket and it drained battery super fast
You could also wait awhile and watch the price drop, that's when things get more interesting

I got my galaxy 10e free when my mother upgraded her s7 edge to a s10 plus. So worth it, if you are a Verizon customer consider doing the same at best buy, they have the promotion
both s10e and iphone xr are amazing phones in their own ways. the s10e weighs 150 g but the iphone xr weighs 194 g.
