I’m currently 15. Recently one of my friends got me into Transformers. My mum was 10 when it came out. Apparently my uncle might have some of his toys from his childhood. I’ll ask him. I’ll hopefully be able to get some from him!

0:16 - "The Leader of the Evil Decepticons is Soundwave" Well... I think at one point in the comics, he was, but everyone generally accepts Megatron as the leader...
Or is this like a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles type situation where Megatron was illegal or something...
Yeah, it was and Megs was also in the comics in the UK.
I don't think we ever got Megatron's toy over here. Probably the closest we got was the brief second and a half where he appears next to the Seekers
Megatron got a U.K. release but not until 1985. This is why they pretend that Soundwave is the leader as in 84 you couldn’t get Megatron.
@@byronlaw6491 I imagine that this creation of the adverts/toyline may have been what influenced Simon Furman to use Soundwave as an interim leader in UK-originated comic stories that took place between US stories where Megatron and Shockwave disappeared from the action.
Certainly he wasn't released in the first year in the UK, but my brother got him in the second year when he became available in the UK.
I really hope everything from 1849 to 2024 comes back

I noticed Fortress Maximus and Sixshot are missing from the G1 section
The UK never got those. If you want the US advert it's in a different video on the channel.
