It's so awesome how excited Dave Roberts gets for these guys when they're called up. His excitement had me excited
I think that's a huge part of what makes him a good manager. Yeah he's made questionable decisions here and there, but he's a pretty laid back guy that tries to build confidence in his players.

(actually pulling them when they're clearly struggling) hes getting better at looking at in game stats rather than just using his gut feeling to pick e.g like what he did with Kershaw 2019 against Washington

I went to the prospect all star game in Cleveland for all star weekend and instead of throwing me or other kids the baseball he just kept throwing in the upper deck and throwing them to girls.

I'm a Red Sox fan, and have been so since I was 8-years-old. What I'm not - is a hater. That said, I have a lot of respect for the Dodger organization and seeing these 'Backstage" videos gives you that behind the scenes the day in, day out view of a major league club's operations. So cool seeing the way Roberts greeted the rookie and praised him for his efforts in the minors. Can't imagine the thrill of getting "the call" and then being able to tell your parents you made it to the big leagues. Awesome stuff!
I cannot but respect ALL of the big league, every sport world, especially for their pure spirit.

The more I see these videos, the more I believe that if the Dodgers media department were making movies, we'd still have epics worth watching like the old classics. I am obviously biased since I have bled Dodger Blue from Brooklyn to LA (thanks to Jim Gilliam), but show me another short feature department anywhere that makes features like this that can hold a candle to the Dodgers.

Leigh Barratt Lots of season ticket holders in LA, and alot of times especially in that case the call up was last minute and tickets are basically sold out for Dodger Stadium. It was still right behind home plate and in the first row of that section. Not bad seats at all.
Those “Fastball Alley” seats (Loge Level between the bases) are actually some of the very best in that ballpark.
These families coming in are usually last minute.

At 26 Johnson hit 194Ks and made the all star game for the first time. The previous season Johnson only had 104Ks. Like I said it's early. Doesn't mean May will be at Randy's numbers but he's got time.
