6:21 This guy is having a philosophical argument with the ref
Best exchnge at :35.
Miles: "Noooooo"
Ref: "Yes."
2:51 correct point in line call - Miles is advancing in preparation. Can’t take a bite of the metaphorical cherry with attempts at blade action while someone has line out.
I think Miles wouldn't have complained if it was that simple. Did he hit his opponent's blade as he advanced? It's hard to tell in the video. I don't know if that's why Miles was upset.
@@morninglift1253 lol, if you think miles needs a valid reason to complain, may I politely direct you to [all MCW videos on youtube]
Blue suit with the brown boot. Will out here killing it.
Will is such a goated ref
i disagree
@Avery Kim. I disagree with you
4:08 I know American refs are different to British ones but in my eyes that's a very very clear parry reposte also this point in line thing from earlier this eyeption was clearly looking for the blade while miles clarely came forward establishing priority
You can search for blade during PIL, you just need to keep it relatively inside the target zone, and disengaging by all means are allowed as long as you don’t move your arm, at least that’s what I was told.
Yep, definitely a parry riposte, you can even hear the blade contact. However, the egyptian definitely established point in line seeing as he set the line just before miles took a two step lunge
@@EstellammaSS This is correct, but most American fencers and referees are miseducated about it and simply think you must stand like a statue and only be reactive to PIL, only disengage once your opponent searches. Which is why hardly anyone in USA below elite DIV1 use it in Foil and almost none but Daryl and Eli in Sabre. Most have been conditioned to think it is far weaker than it actually is.
I see a beat attack from left simultaneous with attempt at parry from Miles. With only one blade contact, hit is awarded to beat attack
I miss when Miles use to be good, and wasn’t trying to argue so much on everything, now he is just kind of sad to watch, even though he isn’t bad, and still leagues better than me, or even most
What was the first card for?
ducking his head
Guy on the left got really disrespectful at the end there.
Watson should switch to epee, since he seems foggy on right of way... I'd stop thrust that freak 10 out of 15 touches, just to frustrate him. Lol
That "freak" (former World Champion Miles Chamley-Watson) would beat you like a drum
@@OlympicFoil ayo theres a reason nick replaced him, miles been falling off doing all tricks and modeling. no lie, he good but he the same
Whatever drugs you're on I want some for myself 😭😭
