- Well, this year sucks, doesn't it? I wasn't planning on revealing this without the rest of the stage its in, but... thought I'd say hello. So, hello. If you know me, you should know where I stand on current issues. Some people have thrived in this environment, but I am not one of those people. We'll see how I go.
Now, it doesn't suck that much on a personal level, at least compared to last year... last year will take some beating for that, but... as far as that goes there's...
Suddenly fainting (downgraded to dizzy spells now), blood pressure spikes, general high degrees of stress, deaths in the extended family, worries about my sister who's a doctor...
I'm alright though. It's hard to concentrate, and I can't seem to bring myself to not sound like "Eeyore", plus having every member of the family in one house and zero time or space to myself, time has become an illusion.
I've almost literally spent the last few months just drawing. 90% of that is drawing gay furries. It's about the only thing I find relaxing right now.

The fact that those gates open and close already makes it better than the original.

Having the shutters open and close on their own is a genius move and yes, this year royally sucks

One small tweak that I'd like to make is to make the BooBeam MkII's attacks easier to see in advance, even if it's just color changes (like white for laser, yellow for lightning, orange for fire, purple for multi-shot, green for single shot, etc.).

Seeing how Boobeam got bodied in QR1, it wants an actual rematch.

Brilliant boss fight. This is what the Boobeam trap should've been.
From the way i see it, the Boobeam trap not only fires its original attack but it adds more attacks likr Quick Lasers, Fire man's Ability and the Gunwall 8 direction projectile, adding more fun and challenge unlike the original counter0art!

It's been a pretty ghastly year, for sure. I'm one of those lucky enough to not have underlying serious stressors to deal with on top of what's been going on, and it's been taking its toll on me...I can't even imagine what it must be like for people who really don't need more on their plate. I truly hope life starts giving you some breathers really soon.
Re: the clip, that's a really clever take on the Buebeam Trap, and it looks a lot more fun, too!
Boobeam trap is my all time most hated boss in any game. You managed to perfectly turn it around and make it not only a functional boss, but make it even greater!
When I saw the boss name, I remembered a Brazilian TV serie where the protagonist says "It's a trap, Bino!" to his friend after they getting caught in a trap xD
Only Mega Man would bring back such a traumatizing boss. Again!!
You made the Boobeam Trap look fun. Therefore, we have reason to believe you are secretly a wizard of boss design. Somebody call 1988.
If Ace could make one of the stupidest bosses in the Mega Man series actually good, it's no wonder he could get together things so Revo is able to be a million times better.

Great job!! My only problem is that the music you use that rushjet1 didnt make is so fire and it makes me sad I cant listen to it whenever, mainly the quicc race theme and the endless music
But dang, I've ALWAYS wondered how to make this boss cool, and you have done it. 16/10, legend, keep up the stellar work

wow who knew that not making the boss into an obnoxious Crash Bomb puzzle and adding additional attacks would make this boss actually fun

Yes. The only reason Quint's isn't slightly fancier yet is just having not getting round to it.
But you'll have the option to revert to the classic ones if you wish.

From what you’ve described of your current life, I feel very sorry for you. I might not have it as bad as you do, but I’ve got a REALLY bad case of OCD, where I get bombarded with unpleasant intrusive thoughts that make me both anxious, and sometimes, even depressed on a near daily basis. I do have to say though, your improvised Boobeam Trap is really impressive though.

Just saw this Ace and got to say, while I like the idea and execution of this boss my only worry is that soon as you start taking out one or two it becomes way too easy to just steam roll the rest of the fight. Maybe add in some stuff so it becomes harder the fewer there are?

I dont really like the original boom-beam room/trap......but this looks a lot better since ya dont need platform thingys to get up and down and you can use standard charge shot to beat it instead of the ' crash bomber ' weapon that takes a few seconds to explode (in which time youre getting shot at).

Just remove the only 1 weakness with a weapon that has a very limited number of uses and you got a kick ass boss
