First time climbing Mt. Kanlaon! Finally sharing our climb to the roof of Visayas. Mt. Kanlaon is an active volcano standing 2465 meters above sea level. The largest volcano in the Philippines.
This mountain has been in my bucketlist since i started hiking. I had no opportunity to climb it back then since it’s ever changing status and finally, summiting the beast was worth the wait! It was a BEAUTIFUL experience. We took the Guintubdan Trail for this hike.
I am grateful that i live in the island where it is standing loud and proud!

A very nice view, the weather seems to cooperation with campers/trekkers. The sky is very clear and this was on day 2 at round 10 am. Really love the beauty of nature. One of my dream destinations Mt. Kanlaon.

Thank you so much for taking us with you on this amazing trek to the top of the volcano. We are planning to travel to Cebu in March and would love to know with who did you set up the trekking trip with, the cost and what you wish you would have taken or done differently. This video got us so excited and something we are WANTING to do while we are there.
Thank you! I really appreciate it. I actually did this trip as a last minute joiner in our group. But as far as i know you have to book a slot as a group in the MKNP Mt. Kanlaon Natural Park. Then they will give you other details for this trek. We spent around 3 thousand pesos. It’s a DIY group and the cost depends if you join a group event. For this trip, i wish I’ve shot more sunrise and sunset on top of the volcano and i wish there was a really good clearing. Also I would like to go back to take the other trail which i heard has a lot beautiful views.
@@neilbegasa Thank you for this! We will check it out. The only thing that has us a little on edge are the leeches haha. We were jungle trekking in Thailand and they were on us everywhere (one even got inside our shorts and yeah…not pretty and we had long pants on and we’re still not sure how lol) and we spent more time pulling them off then actually enjoying the experience. But again thank you so much!!
Yes leeches suck! (Literally) but if you protect yourself from it it would be a good experience

The Margaha Valley is the same as I remember it.. Lugud Crater as well, this mountain is really intimidating.
