    I'm 48 years old and play in a 35+ baseball league. I played infield positions in college and took a 25 year break. I now play outfield because I'm one of the few guys on my team that has any speed left! Haha! The game has changed alot since I last played competitively. I'm not gonna lie, Justin. I always get something good for my game out of your videos. Thanks for taking the time. I appreciate the work you put into these videos to help the young kids....and the old ones!

    I'm an outfielder so this video is really gonna help me. Now when you're catching and throwing the ball, do you have any tips you can share on when to hit your cut off man and when to throw all the way?

    • @UltimateBaseballTraining
      @UltimateBaseballTraining  Před 6 lety +1

      Your goal should always be to throw through your cutoff man's head. That way he can either cut it or let it go. Throw through him, not to him.

    Hey, coach Justin, thank for another amazing video once again. I have a question that overall has to do with the game of baseball itself. Recently I heard that coaches and scouts also look at the physical side of things and it got me really worried about something. My size. I'm currently 15 years old at 5 feet 1 inches. Next year I'm trying out for the 10th grade team, and my friend who is already on the team said I have an excellent handle on my fundamentals. Not only that I study MLB plays as well
    Question: Because of my size, should I be worried about this? should I just hang up the glove?
    Note: Tryouts are in January
    Thanks for taking your time and energy to answer my questions!

      How big are Jose Altuve and Dustin Pedroia? 6'5"?? 😉I'm sure glad they didn't hang up the glove at 15 years old! We would've never gotten the opportunity to watch them play in the Big Leagues! Baseball is a beautiful game because it's not about your size, it's about your skills!

    Thanks coach Justin. I love your vids. On deep fly balls, it can be hard to determine if your first step should be back or to the side or even in. What do you recommend when you don't know of it is behind you? I have been doing a stutter step to get Into a better position to take off when it is behind me

    • @UltimateBaseballTraining
      @UltimateBaseballTraining  Před 6 lety +1

      That can be tough sometimes. When in doubt, your first step should be back - because you don't ever want anything to get behind you as an outfielder.
