Salim is the biggest spin doctor & fraud. No analysis can be done on absolute turnout. Everything depends on relative turnout. BJP, a cadre based party is a master at booth management. Hence, it can be easily assumed that BJP was able to pull out its cadre while opposition cadres/voters sat at home thinking “aayega to Modi hi”
Also, when he says that voter turnout in the seats BJP won was lower, it means, opposition people sat at home thinking we can’t defeat this candidate. In the seats opposition won, turnout was slightly higher because BJP was able to bring people to the booth.
Salim Sir, we need to take a state-to-state analyses, since States differ in terms of voter turnout. I partially agree to your Hypotheses that the lower voter turnout could be disquieting for the ruling party. This is especially disconcerting for the BJP CAMPS
in the States where they rule. .
To be honest, I do contemplate that voter-drop outs, since this factor would affect all the parties contesting, since the Modi wave is absent, and the youth, first-time voters and women voters may vote against the ruling party.
Barkajee, the Alliance may be able to pull the rabbit out if the hat, especially in rural Karnataka, Punjab, Bengal, Maharashtra and certain pockets in the Hindu Heartlands.
Finally, people may not subscribe to the conviction and eloquence brought by Modijee, and many think his popularity is waning, although the BJP losses are yet to reach FULL CIRCLE, not at least in Elections 2024.
In truth, what does the common layman stand to win, or lose, with the ramifications of the EB, especially since all major parties have been bequeathed with the EB, give, or take a few crores.
The BJP may WIN, but would need to consolidate its previous gains, if it wishes to stay in absolute power for another 5 years.

Any cadre based party - BJP, CPI have a strong cadre base who ensure voting on every booth. On top, BJP has full RSS cadre + insane booth management skills with targets for every booth.
