Hi Suzi and Travis, This reaction request is Metallica performing “Breadfan” live from Seattle on August 29, 1989. This is a seldom played song being kind of a “B side” track but is full of energy and attitude as many of the songs performed by Metallica at the Seattle concert. It was released on Metallica’s 1988 “and justice for all” album Thanks, Sean - Hudba
This is a fantastic cover, the original was done in 1973 by a Welsh band called Budgie. The "bread" in "breadfan" refers to money, and being a fan of making that dough.
I am gluten intolerant, No fan of bread, but I like dough, lol.
Yeah, the requester should have said that in their note to Travis and Suzi. The original Budgie version is a banger but I think I like the Metallica cover better...

As a Metallica fan, I do say that they make covers amazing.
Metallica has “maybe” softened their edge a bit but every song, every performance to include the present is 100% awesome and bringing the heat! Other bands starting up during the same time period (early-mid 80s) or even more recent have dropped off the talent cliff but not Metallica!

Huh strange, they didn't do the soft section in that performance
They rarely do during live performances. Same for the slow sections of Phantom Lord and The Four Horsemen (although they did play the slow part in Phantom Lord in their recent Hollywood, FL show). It's a shame.
