Make Your Own Bubble Bath Powder With Only 4 Ingredients!

- ***** Please watch this tutorial as it explains everything about making bubble bath powder: • Make Bubble Baths Easy...
Today I’m going to show you how to make the perfect bubble bath powder. It pours easily & fills the tub up with bubbles. This recipe is super easy, quick, & only requires a few ingredients.
All you need is baking soda, bubble power (SLSA), citric acid, & liquid bubble bath. Everything else optional! RECIPE: 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup SLSA [Alternate "bubble bath makers": • Bubble Bath-makers: Dr... ] + 15 milliliters fragrance oil, 10 milliliters polysorbate 80. Add wet to dry & mix well. Then add ½ cup citric acid (for texture) & toss mix together. Divide mix. Add any type of colorant, powder or liquid, & mix well. I recommend using colors in the same family so that even if the powder gets mixed together, it’ll still look good. You can also recycle old bubble bath for this project. {NOTE: Sieved recycled bubble bath powder must still be coated in liquid bubble bath.} To make the powder like dry sand, add 5 milliliters liquid bubble bath to each ½ cup of mix. Mix ingredients well & make sure all the powder is evenly coated. Lay flat on pan & dry completely (about 12-24 hours). ** Make sure the powder is BONE dry. Sieve the bubble bath to a fine powder- get all the lumps. You can even sieve it multiple times to make sure you have the finest grain possible. PACKAGING: Test colors before making big jars (powder cannot be unmixed). Check if the colors are in harmony & you like the layers. Use any jar/container. The powder should be dry anyways, but for sure if using a regular top. If not, the jars may break = this is why a daisy cut lid or some other lid with opening is recommended. This type of lid is also great for pouring the bubble bath in the tub. The powder produces amazing bubbles that are high-quality, fluffy, buildable, & long-lasting. This is definitely one of the best bubble-making bubble baths! One thing I noticed though (& I don’t know why) the bubbles left a slight slimy feeling on my hands. The water wasn’t like that, just the bubbles. It’s not a big deal or anything, but it was the first time I’d experienced it. NOTE: I forgot to show it, but my water was colored a gorgeous blue (just from that little bit of bubble bath)! How lovely!
NOTE:*** Before adding the citric acid my bubble bath was really lumpy & didn’t feel right. Before adding liquid bubble bath my powder was NOT drying. That’s when I experimented with citric acid & liquid bubble bath. These 2 ingredients are absolutely essential to making this type of bubble bath. *** I don’t believe my original bubble bath powder would’ve EVER dried! 6 days after making it- It's damp like the first day I made it; It has not dried AT ALL!

It does!
Hello, I love your channel and can't wait to try your recipes. Everything you make looks so fun and amazing. You should definitely sell them. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Thanks so much Tina! I would sell if I had time- lol. I swear!
Dora, I am totally in love with your channel, you are AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your talents and knowledge with us. You make making bath bombs so much more fun, and adventurous.
Great video thank you so much
Is the bubble bath like regular bubble bath or melt and pour bubble bath
Eee I always get so excited when you come out with a new video! After watching and rewatching for what feels like almost a year I’m finally ready to try my hand at these!!!
Question though, do these result in coloring the water the same way that your amazing bath bombs do? I’m trying to accomplish the beautiful colored water effect of a bath bomb but in powder and ideally bubble bath form!
Great question (I also like my water turning colors). Normally, bubble bath doesn’t, but this time it did! A gorgeous purple-blue! I wrote about it in description- I forgot to film it like a dumb ass! lol
You are the best Dora ❤️
🥰
Thank you for sharing this awesome recipe..it works phenomenal! I was wondering..are there any other recipes on your channel that I could add this bubble bath powder too? Like is this what you add to the bubbling salts?
I must make this! I collect old unique glass jars just for this purpose so I’m ready. Once again, Dora, you are coming through for us 🎉 🥳
Wonderful! Hop skip to it! So easy!
@@CreativeBathLab 😂
Love it, as usual! I wonder - would you make a tutorial on in-shower lotion that you squeeze out? Like the Nivea brand? I've been searching and I'm a novice at lotions but if anyone can help, it's you :)! Your tutorials are always helpful and fun! Thank you!
Great idea!
This video was awesome! Love it! Would soap gel work instead of liquid bubble bath? Thanks
Thank you so much..I did the bath melts...strawberry 🍓 ...I like your video and I trying something different...😊God Bless you
You are so welcome! Sounds great
OMG DORAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Thank you!!
🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made the bath powder, but added an equal amount of modified tapioca starch to set the fragrance since I had some on hand. This bubble bath powder is perfect. I just finished another sample batch with melted cocoa butter and cocamidopropyl betaine in place of the liquid bubble bath. Keeping my fingers crossed that this batch turns out just as well as my first sample batch.
Wonderful! Let me know how it turns out!!
Any update?
I'm so excited to make this :) have all the ingredients (finally). Question, will the colorants color skin?
Not at all
Hi for the liquid bubble bath they were out in Amazon to your link what else can we substitute it for and thanks I just subscribed 😘
Beautiful. Where did you get the lids
Hi I just loved it . Thank you for your recipe . Definitely I will try this , can you tell me any substitute for bubble bath .
YW. I don’t know of one.
Your makeup looks amazing do you have a tutorial thanks
Not yet!
Hi, I'm a new subbie! I love watching your videos. I'm not one to actually make the product but I love to see how it's done. Do you have a website that you sell your items you make?
Welcome to my channel- happy to have you! At the moment I don’t have enough time, but hopefully in the future!
1) this is amazing and I've been binge watching all your vids, I made the vanilla rose milk bath powder a few days ago and it's INCREDIBLE.
2) in the descriptions, would you please consider adding the ingredient quantities in grams as well? 🥺 This very silly Brit didn't realise US cups aren't the same as UK ones and my ratios for the first batch were...very wrong 😂
Oh goodness! Yes, I will start doing that. I hate US measuring system. We should’ve converted to metric system when we had the chance!!!
1. What is liquid bubble bath? Is this something we can get at our local stores?
2. What does the skin feel like afterwards? I recently did your "hard as rock" bath bomb recipe and didn't love the feel of my skin after. Used a little almond oil in it too but still felt - sticky? Wondering if you have an idea of what caused that - poly 80 or SLSA. Also used arrowroot as the filler.
3. Can you add an oil/hard oil crumble or something to this to help moisturize? I guess we could just the texture would change.
Thanks in advance!
Love this tutorial. I'm slowing watching all your vids during my non-working hours. Can you suggest or do you know of another bubble bath as the one you posted is currently unavailable. Thanks so much for sharing your talents!!!
Yep, it's linked other that one!
@@CreativeBathLab Ugh, I'm so sorry. I definitely missed that.
Est ce que je peux utiliser le SCI à la place de SLSA..et merci pour vos vidéos 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Love the video will the mason jar lids you have on here from Amazon fit the 8 oz jars?
THanks- Yep!
Love your videos . Did you make the holes on the lid? X
I purchased them like that - they should be linked at the bottom
❤️❤️❤️🌹👍thank you
🥰
It look so nice!
Tell me please,If I don' t have SLSA,what can I use?
Thank you!
SLSa - Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, SLS - Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, SCI - Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate. Please research them before purchasing!
I love your videos! So relaxing and confident without a lot of hype. But I have a question that I don't see here - when you say "liquid bubble bath" do you mean a commercial bubble bath-like Mr. Bubble ? If so, which one do you use? I'm dying to make this! Thanks so much!
Yep. I use Solimo (its linked in description) but try anyone that you have
Ok...I am a moron! I just clicked on your supply list and found the liquid bubble bath that you use. Idk why I didn't think of that before. 🤦♀
I used this idea to make 'beach sand' to fill the gaps between moulded bubble bath shells, fish, flip flops, icecreams, beach balls, sunglasses, surf boards... anything beachy in clear glass jars for my daughters/daughter in laws. I'm going to do the same with a jungle/dinosaurs for my grand kids and currently working on flowers and leaves ones which I'll give to family and save one for myself as well as currently making junk food jars... cookies, icecreams, different candies, cupcakes etc.
God, I love all of your videos Dora! These are so amazing!
Quick question - Could this be made unscented? Would I need to add another liquid to compensate and not throw the recipe off (Or another oil like jojoba or something simple maybe)? Would the polysorbate 80 still be needed if I don't add another liquid, or is it just to help the fragrance oil emulsify?
no oil = no poly. you dont have to add fragrance. Replace with any other liquid, even water. You just have to puff up the powder so it dries coarse & hard. Please watch this tutorial, it explains it much better: czcams.com/video/7tJ3Le6MeKY/video.html
I love making your bubble bath recipes! The bubbles last forEVER, it's so fun to sit in tub. But when it comes time to drain the tub is there an easy way to pop or get rid of the remaining bubbles?
Yes! Salt will pop those things instantly!!!!
@@CreativeBathLab Thanks Dora!
What is a good substitute to use instead of for SLSA?
Hello Dora. Are you able to share what liquid bubble bath you use for this awesome activity. Thank you!
Yes, It is linked in description. But its Solimo liquid bubble bath (amazon brand)
I feel like a total stalker to your channel. I love how creative you are and I’m amazed. I can’t even cook with out a recipe!!!!! I don’t create anything but the humans I made 😂 I swear I can’t substitute things or I ruin a basic batch of cookies. I can’t fathom sorting out soap and lotion ingredients to do these different things etc. it’s a talent for sure and I’m enjoying so ignore the notifications. I might be here awhile
New subscriber here and new to soap-making too! Been watching some of your videos and I LOVE your fun creations! I can't wait to make this dry bubble bath powder. My only concern is packing it in a 'glass jar' for use in a bathroom. Seems like that would be asking for a potential accident and possibly lawsuit from a customer. Do you know of any plastic container that might work and still look pretty? It would be even better if it had a salt-shaker type of lid on it. Thank you for all you do for us beginners!
I added some just for you all the way at the bottom of the description. search for PLASTIC SHAKER JARS:
@@CreativeBathLab , thank you so much for going out of your way!
Can you please suggest an alternative for polysorbate 80????
Do you have to shrink wrap to pipe ? And can you put in cup and let it dry in there
Can you add milk powder

Can you make these without using Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate. Love your channel
Hey Denise, I wish I could bc SLSa is expensive! But if I didn't use that, I'd use some other bubble maker like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium cocoyl isethionate. I don't think you can make bubble bath projects without it.
I want to try to make this bubble bath powder, but I'm using only one color. How much liquid soap should I use? What kind of liquid soap should I use as well?
Please what if i want to put Himalayan salt healthy for body what do you think?
Caniuse fragrance oils for this if so how much
I am learning so much from you. I want to start on this Bubble Bath powder. I notice the Amazon Solimo Bubble is out of stock. Can you suggest a replacement?
I just linked a different kind in the recommended products section (***). Its a basic bubble bath from amazon just like the other one. I'm pretty sure this one will work just fine, too!
Hola!
what kind of liquid bubble bath do you recommend?
Did you day you have to use a liquid body soap?
THE SLSA POWDER...CAN I USE THE LIQUID OR NOT AND WHERE TO BUY
Yyeeaaahhhh
😘
Dora, me encanto, lo haré. TÚ compras las fragancias por Amazon también?
algunos, pero sobre todo de otros lugares como la vela encendida y el jardín de la naturaleza
@@CreativeBathLab gracias 👍
Where can i purchase SLSA from?
Good morning! This will be my first time attempting to make bubble bath powder and have a stupid question lol Can you use any kind of liquid bubble bath? Scented or not?
Yes you can!
What after the baking soda
god i wish you had a shop where you sold the already made stuff. it looks so cool, but i dont have the time to make half of it
lol I understand. Hopefully son!
Hola que es SLSA
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Do you make your own bubble bath or do you buy that? The liquid that you put in at the end.
I bought it- its linked in the description!
What if you wanted to use this method with your bath bomb recipe that uses butter and oils? I'm trying it but when I added the bubble bath it was foaming and I'm really nervous now. Smh
Hello Dora, question is the Slsa harmful for toddlers, and pregnant woman. I would love to make this for my Grandson his 3 yrs old.
Thanks for sharing
It is the most gentle of the surfactants. I think youll be fine
@@CreativeBathLab thank you so much
How much liquid bubble bath needs to be added
What is slsa
Hi can I add dry rose petals when packaging
Sure
Can I use my bath bombs and sift them and just add the slsa to make that powder without starting from scratch because I have some bath bombs that I really want to redo but I would like to add that Sosa to it to make it bubbly and I want to make it the power so it is that possible
Slsa
Try it! I don't see why that wouldn't work!
can liquid castille soap be used as the liquid bubble bath portion?
Probably, but I dont know for sure
Can you use any bubble bath. the one you recommended is unavailable. Thanks!
I believe so
Wht is SLSA
Could you add epsom salt instead of citric acid?
I think that would work, give it a try!
lla soy una suscritora quisiera saber como se llaman los 2 primeros ingrdientes x favor
Lee la descripción. todo está ahí
Do you use mica powder to colour?
you can. I normally use color powder
What if you don’t have polysorbate 80? I have polysorbate 20.
It’ll work!
what will be shelf life for this ?
a year
I made this recipe however the bubbles did not last long. What can I substitute to make more bubbles?
you can add more SLS or SLSa & more liquid surfactant to reinforce them like COA betaine.
love the video , but SLSA is very expensive..a whole cup in this..wow..cant you substitute with anything like Guar Gum or Xanthan gum or sci? I have the liquid too would that work? also for a substitute for the bubble bath fi you dont have it..seems like bubble up or coco betaine would work. Of course bubble bath would be much much cheaper can get it any dollar store.
I UNDERSTAND completely! You can sub the slsa with sci or another bubble-maker
Seria posible dar los ingredientes en español? Veo continuamente tus tutoriales pero no entiendo ingles y me es imposible ver los ingredientes
No entiendo por qué no ves los ingredientes en español... He traducido TODOS mis videos. Voy a comprobar en esto!
can we add epsom salt to this ?
Sure
That much SLSA made me itch
Really? How much bubble bath did you add?
hi, what is the chemical name of liquid bath bubble??
Sorry boo, I dont know
Sorry but I got confuse at the beginning you add SLSA (citric acid ) or is a different product because your adding extra citric acid after the mix with the wet products
Slsa is very different than citric acid! 2 totally different things boo
This is my fault. SLSA stands for sodium lauryl sulfocetate
