How funny! I live in Cornwall, UK - and we have a town called Launceston here too. Though the locals pronounce it Larn-ston... a long Lah... There's a huge connection between the two that watching you has just brought to my knowledge (having just gone and looked up mining in Tasmania and unearthed a shed load of info), and now I'm fascinated to know more, maybe one day even visit!

Hope you both have the best time - you are living my dream, hope to do the same in next 24 months. I will be watching your travels, thanks for sharing them. Can you advise cost of Spirit of Tassie with motorhome and a sleeper room - cheers.

Thanks so much. We are having fun. Some ups and downs, as with all things, but mostly good 👍
The Spirit for us was just under $1,000 return. That was with the sleeper cabin each way. We booked months in advance and had plenty of options, price wise.
Wishing you great travel times ahead. Thanks for the message.

Wow! It’s a lot nicer on board the Spirit of Tassy than I thought. Also a lot bigger than I realised.
I presumed to head over with a fridge full of food all set for the journey ahead. Did you have to do a grocery top up straight away? Great vid guys. We can’t wait to be doing the same & living the retired life that you’re living now. Thanks for sharing.
Safe travels & keep the vids coming. 🚒👩‍🚒😃👍

Nice to see the places you are visiting. Can you show where your parked up at the tourist park? Was it easy to get into info on ease of access to places woth the motorhome. Tricks you have had to come up with in the motorhome. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the message. I use wikicamps for most of our planning, it generally gives you good info about access to camp sites. I ring if i am worried about getting into somewhere and ask about roads, access, availability etc. We show a few videos of places we have parked in the tourist parks and some free spots.

We were in Tasmania in February/March. We left on the Spirit on 7th Feb last year from memory, back on 7 March. The weather was great, really good time to go. It was cold at night in some parts but quite warm in the day in other parts.
