    • @redforeman-404
      @redforeman-404 Před 11 dny

      I think what most people underestimate is the added stress of driving long distance in a large van or truck, as your attention level must be much higher and the ride is not as smooth. I can go 1,000 miles in a car with only usual stops every 3-4 hrs and it's not too bad. 500 in my semi, or large pickup with a travel trailer, I'm wiped out. Even worse if you aren't normally driving great distances.

    Having a motorhome or camper van is the way to go for long trips. As a remote tradie i always see campers at rest stops and i think "faasrk how lucky are they being able to pull over and make a coffee" - and ive sometimes wondered if i could stop and offer someone $10 to make me one - driving a lowered 1 tonner with a trailer full of tools and materials for 600km plus at a time gets very sore and tiring

      Hi, we will definitely make you a coffee if you ever see us parked up and you need one. It is handy being able to pull over and make lunch, we do that regularly on our days of driving. Its handy having your kitchen in your vehicle.

    Burra! Love that place. We visit a lot and great place to stay. Best steak at that pub✔️ I’ve been wanting to go to the Big 4 Renmark for ages. Looks lovely.

      Hi Wayne and Carmel, we were in Uluru a few weeks ago. I think May/June/July is a great time to be there. We are going to put out a video on everything you need to know about getting to Uluru, as it's such a bucket list destination. It depends on where you are starting your trip from. We came from NSW, headed down to South Australia, Flinders Rangers and then headed up the Stuart Highway to Uluru. We stayed at roadhouses along the Stuart Hwy, Spuds Roadhouse, Marla is a good one, there are quite a few to choose from. Great trip to do.

    It always seem to take longer going home from anywhere. Lol. Hows the motorhome going mechanically, any issues on your travels so far.

    Nice video as usual guys👍.. Curiosity got the better of me as it's one of my biggest fears 🤔 how did you get out of the servo?

      Lol, it was a funny/not so funny moment. We had to unhook the car, no choice. Brian was almost at the roof and i jumped out, realised we were not going to make it under there. After we unhooked the car, we were able to reverse the motorhome back out and drive away.

      Hi, no not if it's really cold. We travel with a little column heater and the marine carpet has made a huge difference; the floor gets really cold.
