    The pacing is what I like abt it the point of the deaths are supposed to make u feel upset and disappointed not fulfilled. I like it like this because nobaras death hurts more knowing she could have been something great and having it all taken from her. This show shows how unfair life is. I like the fact that weak characters who aren’t built for this get killed or give up, or become something great. It makes it unpredictable and makes u actually question if a character is going to die or not. And this isn’t really a spoiler but in the manga new characters get added to the main cast.some die some don’t.some are special some are not.this is perfect because not every character needs to follow the basic generic format anime creates were every main character has to be special or important.not everyone needs some big moment because that’s just unrealistic especially in the cruel world of jjk.also the villains had be planning this whole arc since last season so ofc things are going to drastically go their way cuz they planned for it.

      Good stuff! Might take this into consideration, I can appreciate unpredictability if it's built up to properly, take Reiner and Bertholdt's reveal from Attack on Titan for example. An unpredictable twist that was built up to through proper development and why it will go down as one of the greatest moments in anime history. I guess Jujutsu is trying out a new formula and it might work out, however I don't think people will be going back to moments from this season with the short-lived nature of story beats and character moments with how quickly they're written off, deff will take your feedback into consideration tho

    A few things.
    One, if you weren't hype for ANY fight, then thats definitely unusual. Yuji vs Choso was straight fire. The side characters (Megumi, Maki, Naobito, and Nanami) had an awesome fight, and megumi had plenty of time to shine going up against toji.
    Secondly, the fact this arc feels like a boiling point and is quite eratic is unpurpose. Everything was relatively normal in jujutsu society, until the arc started, when everything suddenly going bad for the heroes. Also, even though this arc seems like an arc that would be the peak of the show, but It makes sense. The manga isnt as far ahead as people might think, probably around halfway through season 4, so this arc kind of is a kickstart to the other seasons.

    • @ghostofgames11
      @ghostofgames11  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Oh okay nice yeah I don't read the manga so that's hopeful to hear. And I was definitely hype about fights (I've rewatched sukuna vs jogo so many times and love the choso fight), I just felt like there wasn't smooth storytelling/transitions in between the fights and they lacked breathing room. The fights have been hype but I don't think they've been hitting EMOTIONALLY like the 1st season's fights did. I guess some side characters have been getting attention, but not as much as I was expecting, but we'll see if that changes maybe, thanks for the comment!

      @@cyriztz JJK is the type of series that hits you with circumstances, and then the explanations/reasons come after. Like Yuji and Choso being half brothers.. That is only explained after the Shibuya incident. As for the deaths of these characters, it really makes room for thr characters that are to come to have the spotlight. The season 1 cast wasn't strong enough to deal with what's coming in season 3. I also believe Nanami's death was very earned. The Shibuya incident is not holding back. People will die, and that has to simply be accepted.

  • @chidumebiekeator8262
    @chidumebiekeator8262 Před 6 měsíci

    First of all, trust me. Powercreep will not be a problem with this series. I've read the manga. They already gave us the entire scale and that's Gojo and Sukuuna at the top, and regular people at the bottom. That will not change. You might think Yuji is strong or overpowered now, but in the next season, you're going to see that he's really just getting started. I don't want to spoil the manga but it even got to a point that fans got frustrated at how weak he was. Secondly, about the pacing and abrupt death of characters. It's on purpose. There's a theme in JJK about how people don't always get a "proper death" that was explored in season 1. It happened with Junpei, and now it's happening with the characters you mentioned. It would be more unrealistic if most of the entire main cast survived this ordeal, considering what they were up against. Also, about Gojo, I was as dissatisfied as you are right now when he was sealed in the manga, but think about it. If Gojo wasn't sealed, there wouldn't really be any realistic stakes in the story going forward. That man could solo every living thing in the series at this point and win. Every difficult fight would just feel like we were waiting for Gojo to swoop in and save the day. But now, that safety net has been removed. The stakes have been heightened. The characters aren't just fighting to pass time now. They're fighting for their lives and the fate of the world as they know it.
    I understand your concerns and you're right about some things like how Nobara lost to that jackass, but most of these other things are done deliberately, for the purpose of the plot and the themes. These things happened to other characters in the past and it wouldn't be fair if they didn't happen to Yuji too. This is Yuji and by extension, the audience being exposed to the horror of the world of Jujutsu. That's the story that's being told right now and I think it works. It's not perfect, but it works.

  • @jokushepherd2124

    His complaints are valid to have but I feel like some of them are just miss judged. Like Toji wasn't able to stay with Megumi because his soul wasn't able to remain conscious in the body he was in wouldn't allow so Toji killed him self so he wouldn't kill his son. I do agree with Yuji being fed too much Sukuna fingers too fast, but this is due because of plans a preparations not cliches so it isn't too bad. and Nanami definitely had more potential but in Shibuya he just couldn't keep up his death wasn't a fast one it was due to a sequence of events making it feel more unfortunate because the characters of jjk are like actual people, so mercy isn't constant like most shonen which is ultimately why it is part of the dark trio. But honestly it still felt rushed.

    The thing I love about jjk , is how realistic it can be at times. Nanamis death was guy wrenching but it made sense( he fought 2 special grade curses and got a fatal injury and the power gap between him and mahito was to much for him to overcome in his state). Nobara death hit even harder but it made sense( she should have stayed back and she clearly wasn't strong enough to be there , but she couldn't let her friends fight alone ) every death in jjk happens so sudden but all you have to do is take a step back and analyze what the author is showing you

    With your point on Yuji, and with everyone not being like themselves for that matter, I think it’s the fact of the situation they’re currently facing, I mean, Sakuna killed thousands in Yuji’s body, Mahito killed Nanami in front of Yuji’s eyes, Yuji is at his lowest point. I also like the unpredictable and fast deaths, it’s realistic, and grounds the story, no ones safe, and it’s a brutal world, some people won’t be able to complete there arcs, but that’s just how it goes, that’s life, and as a Jujutsu Sorcerer you’re already putting your life in the line to keep people safe, and that’s why I think Nanami’s death is perfect, he came back for the sole reason to help people, and that’s what he did, he even questioned why he came back to Jujutsu Society, and it was to help people, and to ensure jujutsu society was in good hands, aka Yuji. In the end it all comes down to preference though, I get your points as to why you think that about the arc, and that’s fair enough.

    The pacing of the anime is entirely accurate with the pacing of the manga. The anime only adds new scenes mainly to fights to allow them to last longer. Season 2 feels fast because it IS fast. Everything from Sukuna possessing Yuji up to Nobara's death was only 15 minutes in real time (in the story), and they stretched that out for multiple episodes. If anything, this pacing is generous.
    The most realistic aspcect of JJK is how fast things change and tragedy can strike.
