Finally get to break in this totally rebuilt Honda cr250. All need suspension was added and was revalved by KPS so it was great to test those changes as well.
Great looking bike. I owned a 96 once upon a time and it had probably the best 2 stroke engine I’ve ever ridden. It had power everywhere it seemed like and it was jetted perfectly.
The rotor was actually custom made from another guy building a replica bike. The parts needed was just the rotor and a new custom caliper hanger that for the forks. Tank is stock and the pipe was ordered from pro circuit.
@@motoblast3574 Gotcha. I've got a 96 as well and am debating on a fork switch. Any issue with fork setback changing the handling much? I'm assuming you had to switch axle, spacers, brake mount; and shim the stock triples, or use the newer triple with different bearings, correct? Thanks again! Sharp bike and nice riding!
I have a 1996 honda cr250R also. It was my dad's. I still love riding that bike.
It’s such a good bike even by today’s standards
Great job with the bike! Impressive riding too! I love my 95 CR250
Thank you! that's awesome you have the same bike> they are so fun

Thank you so much! Yes these motors were the best up till 2001. Great all around power and very manageable

Nothing sounds like a Honda Reed case two stroke
hey can you give me a list of parts for the rotor upgrade? Where did you get the tank and pipe from?

What year Yamaha pegs? I have a 96 cr250 and I’m running the IMS ones but they could be bigger
I'm pretty sure they are 2016 or something. They were all the same for many years I believe
Hey where did you get the perforated gas tank sticker?
I got these graphics all from Adept creative co.
How big of a difference did the fork switch make?
big difference if you are riding a rough mx track. the original forks are just too soft and bottom easily.
