Wohoo! Watching this in 2020, I've just ordered one and can't wait for it to arrive. I was sooooo torn between the BigShot and this one, but I figured I would have a hard time storing and taking out the Big one all the time. So glad you called this out! I also mostly plan to use it for scrapbooking and cards, not planning on using any full size dies. If you're still around I'd love to hear how it turned out in the long run and how often you use it! Thanks for the video

Thanks for the review. I was thinking about picking it up, but wasn’t sure. I feel the same way. I never want to take out my big one, so I don’t use it. I think I would use the small one more often.

Hi SB, I have the red sidekick which I still love. Although I had to purchase some Adapter Plates in order to use my thin dies. So I'm wandering if the new cutting plates would work so I won't need my Adapter plates anymore 🤔hum

Enjoyed the unboxing of the Sidekick. Is the major difference between the three Sizzix Sidekicks, the bundle which comes with each? Are they built and cut the same way? I can't decide which one to purchase. Thanks for any input.

hi nancy, thanks for watching! the machines are the same, except the color is different if you go with the Tim Holtz option. the only difference is the bundle, the one i got came with the most items in terms of dies and embossing folders.

Yes you can use any brand of dies, tfw!!

I ordered this machine and I do not like it I felt I was tricked because I have to buy adjustable plates in order to use it with other diecuts I will return it!! I bought instead the evolution advance machine from “ We are memory keepers” LOVE IT because he’s adjustable and you can use it almost with any diecuts and embossing folder you would like

An added plus with the Evolution is the Sizzix cutting pads work with it :)
