The idea is to be in as relaxed or calm a state as possible. Put on headphones if you need to. Best time is the right before you go to bed. The brain is supposedly more receptive in that relaxed state.
The plan: listen to this as often as possible until the words and phrases are natural to you, that you don't even need to think to say them.
These phrases can be used mainly for the first encounters. What do you say to people who you don't know at all or don't know very well? Those phrases.
My name is Evan (eko). Happy learning.

I was teaching myself Swahili years ago, but stopped learning. I'm going to listen , practice & use the language now.
I need a study buddy... but I’ll try this for now.

I'm happy to discover (and inform) that the Swahili voice is 100% authentic.
Also, no one really says unaendeleaje/kunaendeleaje informally, so don't worry lol.
So what do I say instead? I feel like I'm going to sound so awkward/too formal >.
@@Coopadoopa715 it depends where you go. To be honest, if you're speaking to Tanzanians, a lot of these probably work because they speak the language quite precisely. In Kenya, a simple:
"Habari yako?" ("How are you?")
Response: "Mzuri." ("Good.")
- or "Mzuri sana." ("Very good")
will work perfectly for any time of day!
Also the inflection on the questions are not accurate, he sounds robotic rather than questioning lol. So watch for that as well.

Kenyans Speaks poor Swahili
@@chrisjames-nr1bk what how
@@robaliban7864 swahili grammar from a kenyan speaker is always poor and doesn't sound sexy. Kenyans are more fluent in english than kiswahili they're still learning swahili from people of tanzania.
Even they're parliament sessions are runned in english and the government officials delivers speeches in english to let every kenyan understood well coz they can't understand kiswahili fully as Tanzanians do
OK bro thanks

Is there a big difference between the different versions of swahili?
@@DejaLanae i personally find Tanzanian swahili so sweet to listen to. It's very polite and a formal form of kiswahili. Kenyan swahili is more laid back,as of lately it has alot of slang in it (amongst youth and young adults).
Coastal kenya,Mombasa city speak more formal swahili like the Tanzanians.
Edit: yes there's a big difference between mainland kenya and Tanzania in the way they speak. Hope that helps.

After an hour it’s on repeat I think
So that it doesn’t shove too much information into your head and it just keeps repeating and u learn better, but good observation!
Why a question mark at the end? Are we actually saying good afternoon? Like we are asking it? We are not stating good afternoon?
