Palestinian journalist Maha Hussaini’s ‘Courage in Journalism Award’ rescinded

Maha Hussaini, a Palestinian journalist, was awarded the Courage in Journalism Award by the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) for her reporting from the war-torn Gaza Strip.
However, following allegations made by conservative US publication the Washington Free Beacon, the IWMF on Thursday said it was rescinding the award.
Since Israel’s war on Gaza began in October, Hussaini has published dozens of stories with Middle East Eye, including a report uncovering Israeli field executions of Palestinians, which was used as evidence by South Africa at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in its case accusing Israel of genocide.

They are normal people like everyone else with the same number of good, bad, kind, mean, etc. only they have been deeply indôctrïnated their entire lives into believing all Palestinians are evil. Think about how you felt about them when you just said they were devils. Indoctrination can only influence one's views so far, to hold the view that innocent civilians, much less women and children, need to be killed because they are "terrorist supporters" require a certain level of evil that's hard to reach as human being. They exist all over the world, transcending race religion & ethnicity.
I see people writing paragraphs to explain to them about what's really happening, and they chose to discredit it blindly. These people are truly beyond help. We are 8 months into a genocide, there's no way anyone actively supporting the apartheid colonial state at this point don't know what's going on.
Refusing to call them evil is an insult to those who have seen the evil and decided to stand against it. Hesitation will only lead to more suffering of those already oppressed.
