  • This video is a tutorial of making Vertical Louvers on the facade in Rhino Grasshopper. Any curves can be assigned to make variations.
    Grasshopper script contains 'Line SDL’, ‘Divide Curve’, Curve/Curve’, ‘Perp Frame’, ‘Sweep 1’.

    Hey there. Nice video!! it really helped me! Is it possible to create an animation from those parameters? I mean to make the façade evolve in a movement with respect to the sine function? I know it is possible to create such animations but I don't know which parameters to use. Could you help me?

      @JuneLeeDesign  Před 3 lety

      I'm not sure which kind of animation you want but I recommend you to use blender or cinema4d. You need to bake and render or have screenshot for every single frame if you use grasshopper. I heard there is a code or plug in but I have no idea about that.

    Can I apply this to a 2d curve instead of line SDL?
    I want to create louvers on a "S" shape wall.
    Thank you.

      I don't think this script work with that. This script makes multiple triangle from 2 points in the line and 1 from curve attractor. If you use S shape, it already have multiple points within the base curve.

    the last part where you drew a curve and the louvers adjusted, is there anyway where we can draw multiple curves like that and it would adjust? i tried drawing two curves and it did not work

    • @JuneLeeDesign
      @JuneLeeDesign  Před 4 lety +1

      It is not possible with this script because there are three point value connected to polyline component. You should make the number of points to 4 or 5 to have multiple curve. You can copy some of the component but I recommend to use different 'Y' axis value in the 'move' component because if you use same value, you will have flat surface between two curves. Let me know if you have more questions Thank you.

    Can you substitute the initial line for a more complex line? LIke you did the curve?

    What should we do when we want to adapt this to a different surface?

    • @JuneLeeDesign
      @JuneLeeDesign  Před 3 lety

      If you get baked model and is fine, script does not have any problem. Normally, if computer has not enough spec to work complex model, it happens. Try to use small number of louver to test.

    "empty point parameter" in node curve curve. I've tried repeat what u do and use crv node with set multiple curves - doesn't work

      Try using smaller number in Divide Curve component.

  • @jiteshsurendarkumar3368

    Is there anyway where we can apply this concept on a closed curve and not start from a point?

    • @JuneLeeDesign
      @JuneLeeDesign  Před 4 lety

      Not with this script. You need to set more values to work with closed curve.
