I love my Powertec, you were one of the people that got me to get one. It’s a monster putting it together so I can’t imagine disassembling it again. I’m not sure what you want to replace it with. Seems like you can’t do anything high. I now have the leg press, fly, leg curl and preacher curl attachment. And I have a Max Trainer m7 (Bowflex stepper) and have the 10-90 adjustable dumbbells coming. Not much room left in my workout room but am very happy with the progress. I know what you mean about never being satisfied with a home gym because it’s like a collection. I have no choice but to be happy with it because there’s no more room left. When gyms open up in the future, I will consider the gym my secondary equipment!
That’s sounds like an awesome set up. I also have the 10-90 dumbbells from Bowflex. It wasn’t easy selling but if you look closely at the end of the video I give you a sneak peak at what I replaced it with. Also, thanks for watching.
@@Radio1399 The Leg Press attachment is good for getting in smooth, high reps. Can't put more than 400 pounds on in it, so can't go crazy. The drawback is taking it on and off. It's really big & heavy. Also it has made me nervous, the weight plates slipped off twice, so you have to tighten the collars extra hard. I think it's an interesting attachment for working legs, you feel instant tension, but the set up is more of a hassle than I could have imagined. Overall I think leg press at a gym or a dedicated leg press is better, mostly due to convenience.
@@JoeBudd-D thanks for the feedback. I haven’t really seen anyone comment on the leg press but it is an interesting attachment of you don’t have the space.
One man's junk is another man's treasure. Those things are 1599 with no weights. 2000 if you get the small stack of plates. Wish someone was unloading theirs in my area.
You are absolutely right! I am not satisfied with my home gym. I am always updating it. Glad to here you made a good amount on you're Powertec. I got mine because i saw you're review on it last year so again thank you for it. Can't wait to see what you get next! Stay safe and till the next video...
I mean realistically once you have all the weights you need and all the movements you can think of, what are you getting? Just replacing the one year old equipment with something new? This is why people lease cars. Maybe they can start to lease gym equipment 😂
I’m was thinking about their power rack but recently thinking about one of the lever gyms bec of the variety it offers except u can’t do pull-ups. Can u tell me a little more what powertec eqpt u have and the quality. Thanks
I have the original multi station version bought off Craigslist back around 2005… now that one takes a lot of space. For years I’d only do chest on it but started getting serious a few months ago. Glad I didn’t sell it.
My Home Gym consists of: •Chin/Dip Station, • Weighted Belts, • Squat Rack/Platform for Hip Belt Squats • MedX Lumbar Machine... • Captains of Crush Grippers and lots of weights... Call me crazy, but I consider my gym finished and don’t even feel the need for a Gym membership anymore
You dont meed much to look good. I have my leverage gym and in my eyes its moreeeeee than enough. Mixed with some dumbbells you are good to go for LIFE
Just watched your videos on the different exercises you can do with the powertec. I’m 215 skinny fat body type. I’m trying to bulk up. Do I need a gym membership? or is this good enough to get big and put on size?
Thanks for watching and commenting. To answer your question; I would say it depends on if the gyms in your area are open and if you have the budget for the equipment. If gyms are closed then anything is better than nothing. If the gyms are open and you also have the budget then you can’t go wrong supplementing the membership with the Powertec for occasional home training.
@@tdagodd8732 in my opinion yes, the Powertec is in the same category as Hammer Strength. The reason being is because you can increase the weight as you get stronger. The only exception would be professional power lifters who would exceed the weight limit pretty fast.
I think it’s a personal preference that will depend on you style of training and goals. They both are excellent supplements to the main lifts that the squat rack and lat pull down will give you. With that said… where I am in life I would rather have a functional based on the style of training I’m doing now.
That's an awesome hoodie, do you mind if I ask where you got it? Enjoyed the video, just ordered a powertec yesterday. 1 month until it gets delivered 😒
I tell people this is the best "Bravo" home gym on the market. There's a ton of exercises, you can safely lift heavy alone (primary reason I got it) and it's relatively compact, even if it is a little tall. But I can see if you were getting serious about bodybuilding or powerlifting that this would have limitations and a full rack and all the options with that would be better (hence not an "Alpha" gym). The fixed plane of the machine kind of robs you of that full range of motion workout (dumbbells help offset that) and is the machines only real downside to me, but to some that's a big downside. I love mine and my goal this yr is to upgrade to the newest model that addresses some of the shortcoming of the older one (better bench, integrated row/curl "station", isolateral arm, built in plate holders). For a huge swath of people this will more than do the trick and I'm surprised more people don't have one.
Had my Powertec since 2015 with ALL the attachments.. use it 6 days a week!! Love it...p.s did you sell the bike too?😁...also love my IRONMASTER dumbells💪
We are experiencing hyperinflation due to supply chain crisis and inflated money supply by FED money printing. I want a Powertec but would not pay inflated used prices. Might as well buy new.
I’m not exactly sure. In my opinion if the company says it’s rated for 500 it could probably hold more but for liability purposes they would rather underestimate than overestimate.
The powertec levergym is 81.7 inches tall not 87! You're a cheapskate only offering him $300. Just because he accepted doesn't make it right smh. This unit is well worth the $450 plus you also got weight plates with it. 🤬
I bought a used powertec (and an older black painted version) for $550. I chewed him down from $700. To me it is fantastic. Not a fan of the bicep/leg extension as it is a bit restricted, but the pressing movements are absolutely spectacular. Puts your body in a position to avoid injury while simultaneously blasting your pecs or delts. Can also perform a standing low row from that part. I dont have the squat attachment but the pressing part came with a bar that attaches to the ends to be able to perform decent squats with. The lat pulldown is average in my opinion. For a few hundred bucks you have what I basically consider four or FIVE hammer strength comparable movements. Really like it a lot
Yeah i bought the multi gym off Craigslist back in 2005 and it has the 3 stations. Cost me about the same with 200 lbs weights too. For years I did only chest trying to hold onto my old gains now I’m using the whole machine… only bad part was having to buy more plates. Love how safe I feel using it.
Hello friend, greetings from Greece, one question, the way of training with this particular machine stopped being interesting? You think it's not bad, but you say I don't like it anymore I hope you understand what I mean

Uh, I see your original thinking as some of these single use machines like a calf machine, let alone standing and sitting, take a lot of space in a small gym. Some of the exercises are more credible than others on multi use machines but many are fine but I think people get too hung up on the dubious ones. Use what works...then you can have a barbell too, etcetera, a trap bar...a mix of things...
Damn, you will no longer be able to do your big CROSSFIT workouts! 😁 You do mention how the lat pull down is one of the main things you used the Levergym for, so a dedicated lat pull down /row makes perfect sense. Footprint also makes the biggest difference when it comes to a garage gym.

You already have a power tec cable machine. You don’t need another powertec lever machine because you have a rack and can do those movements already. And you didn’t need the high row of the powertec lever because you have the cable machine 😂

Thank you for watching. The market determines the price, just because I bought it for $300 doesn’t mean I have to sell it for $100. Think about baseball cards… a pack costs $1 but a single card sells for $1,500 a few years later. 🤷🏽♂️ Gym equipment is LUXURY not a necessity, no one has to buy it.
