Be Your Own Defense: BERETTA APX A1 Carry

- Your awareness and readiness, combined with the proven reliability of the APX A1 Carry, can make the difference when it matters most. With an improved trigger pull, red-dot optic ready slide, enhanced aggressive slide serrations, and low bore axis the APX A1 Carry is made to carry everyday.
I would like to defend myself with this APX A1, but I live in France, a country where criminals have more rights than victims...
That’s sucks I live in the US and literally have an AR15 in my car lol
Move...
Revolution
This is my EDC and I absolutely love it, to me there really isn't a second option after Beretta, it's Beretta or nothing for me.
This Berreta fan boys not digging single stack.
Everything else looks good
@ Beretta, please make a 10 rd micro compact. Its 2021 and you are releasing a 6 round capacity gun??!!!
Also work on a PX4 Gen 2
Bingo
PX4 Gen 2 would be great. If it came optics ready (the LTT slide/optics is so exepnsive) and had better grip texture, that would be a dream come true to me. Maybe a longer slide and barrel version too for the competition folks.
@@JacksonWalter735 Agree 100%. For the PX4: Better surface grips, red dot ready option and if possible a couple of ounces lighter. I hope Beretta considers our feedback.
I wish I could afford to pass these out by the truck load in San Francisco to help give back to my community.
Wish I could help you. I have so many friends around the San Fransico, Richmond, Oakland, and San Jose area (went to UC Berkeley) who are gun nuts. I was surprised with the sheer amount of people who love guns in California (they probably outnumber the ones here in South Carolina by volume). It's just a shame that the majority screws them over no matter how hard 2A patriots fight back in California.
Just got the gray wolf design. Shot it yesterday and it’s solid. Was carrying a 1911 before so this is a much needed change for a conceal and everyday carry standpoint
Just bought one locally. Less than $400. Good value and options for the price. Yes, I do own a Hellcat, P365, MAX9 and the Taurus GX4. All good guns. But I'm excited to try this because I see it as a updated NANO. And I liked that gun when I CCW'd it back in the day.
With the slide stop and breakdown procedure not requiring a piece of brass or screw driver, this model is definitely a step up from the original APX Carry and Nano. I've just ordered mine from Gun Zone Deals for $299 + $14.95 shipping. My FFL charges only $15 for a transfer, so it's a great deal!
Did it come with optic plates?
@@rotadyma No, you'll have to contact Beretta to get the plates you need for the optic you choose.
Not sure if you still get this but how does it compare to your gx4 especially with it being only single stack? I have the gx4 but want to pick this up since it’s on sale with the rebate.
@@jl3449 Truth be told, I sold the Beretta, Hellcat and the P365. But I still own the GX4! I felt that the GX4 shoots better, is more controllable and has been 100% reliable. Even with my reloads! If you want a single stack 9mm, get a S&W shield or a FN 503.
Lets see a gen2 for the whole APX line. Optics ready, fcu serial number and all
I would be so down for that. A new trigger shoe/shape as well would be a dream upgrade for me.
How about an upgrade in customer service and a genuine passion for the products you represent. I'm still waiting on the answer to my email question. Cheers from Texas.
I’ve got the original Nano. I held the Taurus GX4 next to it and they’re the exact same size slide. GX4’s got 11 + 1 and you can buy a +2 baseplate and spring from their site for 13+1. They missed the mark by not adding a double stack which is the standard now. I’ve got a lot of Berettas. I won’t get this until they upgrade the magazine, even with a $100 rebate. The GX4 uses MEC-GAR mags made in Italy. Use that mag and upgrade the frame, then you’re competitive.
Beretta must use Internet Explorer, becuase they stay about 10 years behind everyone else.
I like this gun a lot. Bought it for $299. Beretta quality!!! If I need more than 15 rounds in any situation, I got a lot more problems than I care to consider. OH and the 15 rounds is 1 in chamber, 6 in grip and spare 8 round mag.
Looks like Beretta and FN (503) didn’t understand the assignment… I wonder if HK will make something that’ll finally knock the 365 off the throne.
I hope so but I wouldn't hold my breath for HK doing something like that. We never got a single stack VP9 variant or a Glock 19 size either (more like a 19x) even though so many people wanted that. A guy could dream though because HK quality in a P365 form factor would be amazing for carry while I use my P30 when it's cold.
LOL - CZ failed miserably with the CZ P10 M. It doesn’t even have an optics cut.
The hellcat does just that.
I’ve shot the hellcat, hellcat rdp, 365, and the 365xl with the red dot.
Out of all of them, I decided to buy the hellcat rdp. The one flaw this gun has is the red dot (365 xl’s Romeo Zero is better), I’m guessing maybe the shield SMSc is better?
Out of the group, it was the most consistent with shot placement for me. Recoil was more than manageable. Got to try AIWB holsters, it’s less comfy than the normal hellcat or normal 365. But I’m fine with it.
People with giant hands, go with the 365 xl. The 365 and hellcat (of any model) have a smaller area to hold on to. My hands aren’t huge so it isn’t an issue.
Anyway, if we exclude the red dot, hellcat rdp.
Edit: second for me would be the 365 XL. It just feels like a bigger gun than it actually is. Unfortunately, like the hellcat, it feels longer in appendix carry.
If maximum concealment is your goal at any cost whatsoever, 365 and hellcat were the easiest to actually AIWB. Both feel snappier when firing.
@@very7962 Thanks for sharing. I still haven't made the leap to the micro 9s, but its great intel from someone who has tried most of them.
@@Quality_Guru no problem.
If y’all have any questions let me know I’ll make an edit to the comment.
Quality and beauty... needs more capacity
Waiting for the nano 2.0!
Very nice
What are the holster options for this gun? I’m struggling
Nice~~~~Very....Very Nice!!!
*is any other magazine from your APX line fit with this gun
*will it be APX A1 compact , APX A1 Centurion , APX A1 Centurion compact ETC come along in new product line too
Lembra muito uma glock... Parabéns, Sensacional!
Ela vai ser vendida para o brasil também ?
like it, thanks
Rumors has it that beretta has a apx brewing with 11 round and 13 round grip module that will fit the carry slide.🤔🤔🤔 if that’s the case it’ll be a home run.
Is there an option for external safety?
Make a 3 inch 92 series style pistol
I got got one and it wouldn't work out of the box, I had to stay in contact with them for 10 days to finally get them to send me a UPS shipping label to get it serviced and they have a 12-16 week turnaround. Don't get me wrong its a cool gun and I got unlucky but because of the support service alone made me not recommend or buy a Beretta product again. Kinda sad because i was looking into the full size apx as well.
Any word on px4 in 10mm?
Respect
Good looking gun! U guys need to add more capacity or a bigger version!
I need the subcompact PX4 on 9mm.
The Pug of concealed carry.
Can you guys get this ca roster
The X in APX was supposed to stand for multiple calibers. Beretta has abandoned the premise completely. The entire family is currently only available in 9mm. Come to find out, they re-focused their efforts on THIS.
So sad that the rear sights have to be removed for the optics... 😔
Sucks it’s not included but definitely still possible
Couldn't pass up...won on auction for $273 with Berettas $100 rebate....I'd say it was a sweet deal...
Quiero una
Why the hell have they not done what S&W and ruger did and put a double stack grip on their single stack slide considering how thin the single stack mag as there is gonna be a thick piece of plastic either side on the grip,
Basically this grip will be the exact same thickness as a double stack micro 9 lol,
I mean they paid development costs for this to produce a gun that was out of date 5 years ago,
amazing thought process going on at baretta,
Unless it's as thin as the diamond back db9 gen4 with 9+p rating what's the point,
Maybe this in 40/357/45 is a option but in 9👎
And not even cowitness sights.
That DB9 is thin!
Love the new design but come on now! Everybody wants atleast 10 to 12 rounds capacity! Been waiting for a new apx line to come out but really disappointed about this!
At least 8+1 but anything else is not good. Good looking gun but still waiting for at least 8+1 with out extended mag
If they made this one have the same capacity as a p365 or in that class, I’d buy it. But otherwise this is an outdated design
Facts
For real. I can only see these being successful if they're priced on the lower end. That's great if you're arming multiple people or just want a tiny gun to have one, but many gun enthusiasts would rather pay just a little more for higher capacity at around the same form factor.
@@JacksonWalter735 I just purchased mine for $299. How's that for affordable? Beretta quality and I have a nice tiny gun for summer wear.
@@rotadyma $299 is a great price for that. A tiny pistol that's optics ready and you get 6/8+1 for capacity. It's cheaper than the Ruger LC9s, regular Shield, Glock 43, Walther PPS, etc. If it's closer to the $450ish like the FN 503, CZ P10M, and so forth then I'd rather just get a high capacity microcompact instead.
@@rotadyma A box store?
Better than Glock, nice one!
Not in any way. No back up irons is idiotic.
Man. I've been putting off getting one of the new double stack micro 9's because I hoped Beretta would release one of their own. Love my Wilson Combat 92 Centurion, but it's not exactly warm weather carry friendly. If this had a flush 10 round magazine like all your competitors it would have been perfect. Guess I'm gonna have to pick up a Ruger Max 9, or a Shield Plus now... Shame
Check out HS Produkt H11 or Springfield Hellcat (same gun sold in US)
@@MrKony98 I'll add it to the list!
I was holding off too, I am disappointed to say the least
@@HoneyBladeX85 idk its not always about capacity. If you are a good shot you don't need 12 rounds. I'm not saying you're not of course. Like I shot a hellcat and the first 6-7 rounds went in just fine but I fought for 20 minutes to get the rest in the mag though. It's a preference I'm just not counting them out.
@@benjaminfreeman2851 Oh, I agree. I just like knowing that I have that extra capacity just incase. It's like a safety blanket haha
Imagine if this held 13
Just like the rest of the comments I'm going to say it anyway...at least a stack and a half.
I still can’t believe that the APX Carry is a single stack 9mm micro pistol. Read the room beretta.
They are either awful at it or strictly incompetent. They fix the trigger, they fix the stupid take down, made it cut for an optic and yet left it as a 6 or 8+1 capacity. Like I don’t even understand how anyone thought that was a good idea or was going to work. That is a Design from 6+ years ago
@@roweshowtactical I literally couldn’t have said it better! Those are exactly my thoughts! I have all four APX versions and I thought this would make me want to upgrade my carry to this one but nope. This still doesn’t come close to my 365XL so not interested.
@@STF34 Exactly. And it’s not like they had to rush this release. They had three years to get the capacity on this offering right and they still screwed it up. This is one of the reasons that when people think about handguns, they don’t think about Beretta anymore. Either you innovate and keep up or you get left behind.
@@roweshowtactical Exactly! They keep updating stuff but make the dumb choice on what they upgrade. Example. I want an optic 92 X Performance but WITH a pic rail! Lmao
@@STF34 😂 exactly
Would’ve been a great pistol in 2011
kinda strange to release a gun that's blatantly inferior to every new micro-9mm since 2018. it's like they'd rather embarrass themselves and release the gun because they already invested money into it, rather than cutting their losses and scrapping/improving it. It's called the sunk cost fallacy, Beretta.
How in the world does Beretta come this late to the party and have the gall to release this? The capacity by todays standards is abysmal. While I personally don't have an issue carrying a gun with only 8 rounds you just can't stay competitive with todays offerings with that capacity.
Less rounds keeps it more lightweight
The trigger is total trash. I have the A1 and love it. Best striker trigger on the market. Yet the carry has a trash trigger dramatically affecting accuracy. And safety for that matter.
Ehhh, I’ll just stick to 43x, has more ammo capacity and feels nice in the hand. Thanks :)
The engineers wanted to wait to add the additional capacity, but the accountants wanted it out the door. I guess we all know what’s really important, making money or putting out superior products? I expected more from Franco Gussalli Beretta the CEO of Beretta. He is losing his touch of the business. On a positive point, the price will plummet. As it is, it’s a dud.
Already 345$ for old model 😉
Ewwwwww
6 round?
LOL
Run away. The trigger is absolutely horrible. Starts with a hump then a grind then two more hump/grind combos then finally a click. Roller coaster trigger lol. Also as I write this (dec ‘23). There are absolutely NO MAGAZINES available anywhere. How can Beretta sell this with no magazines available????? Be careful.
7 Rounds 🤣🤦🏻♂️👎
