Add a 10lb plate to the pin to elevate the weight-arm slightly, providing resistance right from the start of the movement. I got this tip from another video. Bought the GMWD on an amzn lightning deal and absolutely love it!

Dude you gotta check out the syedee leg extension and curl machine. Its single leg! 400 bucks rn at walmart 423 with tax its beast big floor print is the only downfall but great for optimal training!

Seems like you could add a preacher curl pad in place of that thigh pad, remove the lower leg cushion and use this for arm curls as well? looks like a 2x2 bar on that thigh pad?

I have seen standard benches with an extension off the end that is for these exercises - how do these stand alone machines compare? I would guess they are better for the price.

They are cheaper but the biggest disadvantage is that you can't change the weight curve on them without using bands in some way.

No way I have the exact same machine for my home gym! It was the cheapest on Amazon lol. I am very disappointed by the imbalance where my left leg does more work

@@JoeySuggs I was looking at the red pull out pins that sit in the adjustment holes and they say "loosen then pull." This seemed to imply that you are supposed to tighten them once you get it in the adjustment hole you want. Once I tightened mine there was so wiggle or asymmetry on the shin pad when using both legs for the extension. Just something to try. Regardless, I still think going the unilateral route is best.
