What a coincidence, I need to ship out my Marshall DSL100 for servicing. Great tips 👍

Great job in this video, just curious...
    1. What are the dimensions of the box here?
    2. How much extra space would I add to fit in the bubblewrapped-footswitch in?

If you're sending the amp for servicing, you can save some shipping costs by just sending the chassis. That head box is a lot of dead weight to waste on shipping.

Oftentimes from the manufacturer they have packaging with form fitting foam on the ends which protect the amp much better. Also, with warranties, that have to worry a lot less about damages than a private seller does

Great job. It helps me do a better job. Although I am not a fna of the narrator talking about mother...
My mom was extremely abusive and neglectful and she is toxic. So please don't mention, mom. Good thing I no longer listen to my mother

Why are amps shipped with tubes in them then? Also can't you just go to a guitar store and ask for a box and foam ends that they ship with?

Personally I would have put that first box into another box full of peanuts

Yep, I'd have to double box an expensive amp like this. Sometimes I think that delivery scene at the beginning of Ace Ventura Pet Detective is very close to reality

Then UPS/Fedex slams it on the ground, crushing the cardboard box and caving in the chassis. I wouldn't ship an amplifier unless it was in a steel case or wooden crate. At the very least, double boxed with that thick plastic foam. UPS / Fedex literally throws boxes as hard they can in the warehouse. I've seen them do it and laugh. The workers don't care and the companies usually get away without paying for damages. Someone I know had a 1500+ dollar welder smashed to pieces by a UPS forklift and they wouldn't pay for the damages, even though it was insured for the full amount.
