Tim has said that Adam Chance is their secret weapon. He allows them to flex even more as he can cover base, sing baritone, help with rhythm, and harmonize with the tenors which allows the rest to change things up. Chris was good but Chance gives them more options.

They layer their voices so well that you wind up in overload. You don't know which part to listen to first. You gotta keep rewinding it to appreciate each specific part they each do. They are great individually but together, they make this perfect combination.
Chance is a natural baritone with a 4 octave range so he can carry the bass line when Tim if doing something else, though he can't get as low. Tim has a 5 octave range from a tenor 1 down to an f sharp I think. If you watch all of the songs from the Sing Off, you will get a chance to hear him get really high.
Being a Johnny Cash cover, {his music has been said to sound like a train} I love Austin's train whistle sound and Adam Rupp's Steam sound Tim's train driving hp is sweet.
I figure Austin is the train whistle in this just dancing across the top line. And Adam’s beatboxing is amazing. Chance and Tim really covered the heck out of the bass. They layer their voices so well that you wind up in overload. You don't know which part to listen to first. You gotta keep rewinding it to appreciate each specific part they each do. They are great individually but together, they make this perfect combination.
My current favorite is their cover of Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color".

Chance is a natural baritone with a 4 octave range so he can carry the bass line when Tim if doing something else, though he can't get as low. Tim has a 5 octave range from a tenor 1 down to an f sharp I think. If you watch all of the songs from the Sing Off, you will get a chance to hear him get really high.

I figure Austin is the train whistle in this just dancing across the top line. And Adam’s beatboxing is amazing. Chance and Tim really covered the heck out of the bass. Add in Robb’s soulful singing and you have one great song made greater. You really should react to their latest, “One Man Band”. Listen closely as the lyrics follow the arrangement of harmonies. Just discovered your channel with these guys! Love Home Free! What can’t they do? I’ll tell you! They do not disappoint me ever! They are excellent musicians/artists! They’re also great guys! I saw them in the original airing of the Sing Off from the first episode! I wasn’t even a big Country Music fan, overall. I do like a few, but not enough to listen to Country music radio. These guys can do a cover of a song that I may not have been thrilled with the original, and I will absolutely love their cover because even though they stay true to the melody, they make it their own! They’ve introduced us to some other great artists through their covers and their originals are great, too!
