    It's pretty cool how accessible good effects and tones are these days! Cool video man!

      Thanks man! It truly is the golden age for guitar players...tools like this are SO accessible....

    The demos you made sound great, you definitely got a good ear for the context of each preset you showed. Additionally, this video is incredibly helpful as a tutorial for the device having just purchased it!

    I have the Matribox I. Its pretty good and I use it all the time now. However, I was plenty pissed that they came out with version II only 4 months after version I ! This was unfair to those of us with the first version.

      That's an unfortunate reality with digital products. I spent almost $2000 on a Fractal FM9 turbo and a new one was released 2 months later. As long as the companies continue to support the device that is what is most important...

    Hello good video,😎😎 I want to buy this pedalboard, I haven't decided yet. Does it have good sound? Are the simulations good, the effects? How does it compare in sound, simulations and performance with the nux mg 30? thank you very much 😎

      Thanks. I did my best to demonstrate the product t in the video. I haven’t used the Nux but I shared the sounds with you in the video.

    I just found your channel today and love your videos and subbed right away! I am curious if you have recommendations on a multi effects pedal where you dont have to search for a patch, just have a bunch of saved patches all with one button for example the old Digitech RP1000. Im thinking about buying one but wondering if you know of something more modern?

      Glad to have you here! Have you looked at the Boss ME90? Pretty simple device with lots of Boss fx. You can go preset or stomp mode. I’ve coveted it extensively here.

    Which one is the best you have heard?

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Honestly, the TONEX pedal has the best sounding amps. It costs about $150 more than this and doesn't have it's own FX but I would highly recommend it purely as an amp source. And it could work great with this pedal for FX...Not an apples to apples comparison but TONEX works at any level...and I really believe Matribox is good value for the money....depends on what you need....

    Hi. Thanks for the review! Just a question. In 4:50 on the screen, does it come from the matribox 2 or are you using a DAW?

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Před 3 měsíci

      My pleasure...IF I understand your question at that moment I'm using the Matribox as an interface and recording into my DAW.

  • @capnjames
    @capnjames Před 9 měsíci +1

    I was able to get it to loop in sync with the drums a few cycles before it gets off beat….that’s pretty much my only complaint so far, do you have any idea if downloading the software or plugging up to a daw can help? I have an old zoom G3N and I LOVE the looper it perfectly quantizes every time and it has a count in/you can set it to stop looping right at any number of bars you want (within limits) only thing is the zoom G3N has a lower quality sample rate for the looper function so the Sonicake looper sounds cleaner but the zoom loops sound better 🤔maybe my timing with the switch needs to be better but I’m pretty sure I’m playing on beat and it’s slowly going out of sync cause it’s a few milliseconds off when I end the loop or something

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Před 9 měsíci

      I didn't get into the looper. That does sound odd. Test it against a simple metronome to see if it's drifting. I'm not sure why it would but that would be a way to test it....

    Is there a Send/Return block you can place at the beginning of the chain for a simultaneous Dry Output like the NU>X MG-30

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Před 9 měsíci

      There is independent send and return blocks that you can place anywhere in the chain. So in theory yes, but I haven't actually tested that myself....

    • @capnjames
      @capnjames Před 9 měsíci

      I haven’t tested it but from what I understand when you’re using it as an interface you can record the dry and wet signals at the same time, plus you can move the send and return blocks anywhere in the chain so I don’t see why that wouldn’t work!

    Nice sounds Dan - but I bet YOU could get a pretty good sound from a cardboard box and a couple of rubber bands...😁

      Ha! thanks Dave! But funny...I often feel like my tones sound like a cardboard box! :))))))

    One annoying limitation I've found on similar inexpensive modelers is that effects are fixed within blocks. This means, for example, I can't have a wah and a compressor in a chain since they're in the same fixed block. Does this modeler have that limitation?

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Před 9 měsíci +1

      That's the thing with this one. All blocks are fully independant and there seems no limitation that way. I just checked and created a preset with a compressor and a wah no problem....

    Great time to be a guitar player as far as equipment, but horrible timing as far as pop culture popularity
