- Want to know why Niseko is Japan's best ski resort? In this video I'll show you around the Niseko Japan ski resort as I ski all 4 sides of the Niseko mountain in just 1 day! Starting my day from Hirafu, Niseko I'll venture to Annupuri then Niseko Village before heading back over to Hanazono to see some of the renowned powder snow! I have spent a lot of time in Niseko and I can comfortably say that Niseko is Japan's best ski resort! Worked for Hanazono in Niseko from 2004 to 2011. Great spot especially the peak. Sadly now it's expensive and get's skied out very quickly. So many other great cheaper resorts in Hokkaido that are worth visiting.
Nice, I was based in Sapporo from 04-06, always caught the train to little old Teine. Furano was great too

Stayed and Worked in Niseko for a month and a half this season. Best powder I've experienced! Would definitely come back for more

Any chance of the name of the accommodation you stayed at? Love that ski in ski out option. I did the Sapporo snow festival back in 2014, was bloody epic. Looking forward to going back there again with the kids.

awesome video - i really enjoyed skiing in Niseko but I didn't enjoy the very western (& really really expensive) village. much prefer the sleepy villages in myoko, nozawa onsen, madarao. much better value for money and nicer Japanese food.
Rusutsu I thought was a top quality mountain too.
But for the prices you pay for everything in niseko village - would rather head to US/Canada

You missed the POW? They usually have a consistent dump of DRY powder every night. And if the top of the mountain is closed for a day or two, you can get into some deep stuff...

Top tip, get a hire car with built in EDC so you never have to stop at a toll. Just pay when you return your car.

Naa. The terrain isn't the best up there...try Nozawa Onsen near Nagano. Traditional village at the bottom of a world class snow resort.
I did that some years ago, and they had so much snow that it was impossible to get back up when I fell

Niseko is definitely not the best in Japan. There are far far far too many Australians there.
There are certainly a lot of of us here
And Chinese it's a s$%t hole lift lines as far as you can see and super expensive
