- Some residents in Sherman Oaks, Encino and Van Nuys believe they are victims of the same burglary crew, with homeowners posting videos of look-alike thieves, all of whom appear to flee in a Toyota Camry.

Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and North. Not only is Cali diverse but has some of the most favorable weather next to HI. Agriculture is year round, far fewer cold months, and many historical treasures and national parks and lakes.
Food for thought, it's known burglars do not shnit where they eat. These folks could be coming from your neighborhood.

The repeated burglaries in this area throughout LA county will take people getting involved in neighborhood watch and post areas with plenty of signage. Communicate with txt as soon as you have suspicion so that people can turn on lights, motion lights, and plenty of deterants.
Motion lights w speakers for loud dog barks. And if you think no, I don't want to be "that one" nosey neighbor, please don't. Too many times, people have said, "IF only I would have 😢 It is better to be safe than sorry or they may have eyes on your home. They can not keep getting away with this. Some abuse neighborhood watch and use it to annoy people. So just use some sense when conducting a neighborhood watch.
In many areas, LE has an outreach to help with giving tools to use, do's and don'ts and signage with posted Crime Watch Neighborhood.
It's a hassle to start. However, it beats the alternative of talking about these crimes after the fact.
I've worked with many communities that have experienced jumps in crime that have seen positive changes.
No one person needs to be "boss." I agree the power not for just ONE.
It is empowerment for ALL of the community.

The latest arsonist (vanilla) who set Northern California on fire fit that profile. Several politicians who stole from California taxpayers were not the so called "usual suspect" that you would call them. The attorney (Murdaugh) and doctor (just arrested) who stole millions. I could go on and on. Let's talk about the similarities of most abusers....across the board. They're male! But you pick and choose the crimes that you comment on! Hypocrisy at its finest.
