I've noticed that my IgniteXL Bold (50 inch model) is making quite a bit of noise while running. Interestingly, the lowest speed produces the deepest sound, and the faster the flame speed, the higher-pitched the noise becomes. It's like a humming noise that almost disappears at speed 4. However, speeds 1, 2, and 3 are very unpleasant

Ours is silent, regardless of flame speed. You may want to get in touch with Dimplex customer service to get it diagnosed. It has a 5-year warranty, so if there's an issue, it will be taken care of.
