Potato pancakes
1300 g peeled potatoes
5 spoons of plain flour
2 whole eggs
6 cloves of garlic
1/2 onion
4 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons marjoram
50 ml of milk
Oil and lard for frying.
Grate half of the potatoes into small noodles.
Grate the other half into porridge.
Drain the grated potatoes.
Add hot milk and mix.
Add salt, pepper, ground cumin, marjoram.
Add whole eggs, grated onion and crushed garlic.
Add 5 tablespoons of flour, mix thoroughly.
Heat oil and lard in a pan.
Fry in hot fat over a moderate flame until golden.
Serve with sauerkraut.
