She was 17 and he was 19, he made a song saying he would wait for forever (since she was a minor). Then all of a sudden he started dating Sabrina Carpenter (the blonde girl), leaving her heartbroken
Listening to Anyone Else by Joshua Bassett AND THEN Drivers License right after the other is a trip, to be honest. Add to the fact that Joshua is releasing a song titled "Lie, Lie, Lie" soon (he's posted a snippet of it on IG last year) and the lyrics from that... are very telling and fitting for the current situation even though he had written it at a time when he and Olivia were presumably still okay. Releasing it so soon is making me antsy though because I feel like these two are just going to be communicating through songs while we all just watch in the sidelines like 👁👄👁

Olivia stars in the High School Musical series of Disney +. She wrote "All I Want" for the show and it went really big. I LOVE the songs in this series because they are really beautiful and real with a lot of meaning and messages.

So basically Olivia and her co-star Joshua Basset, from High School Musical: The Musical the Series, were rumored to be dating but nothing was confirmed. He is now rumored to be dating "the blonde girl" (Sabrina Carpenter who is 4 years older) leaving Olivia heartbroken. He wrote a song that people think is about her, saying he would wait for her forever because she's a minor, he's 20, and she's 17 and that's why she says "Guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me" referencing his song.
He's also the one who taught her how to drive and was supposed to be there with her when she got her driver's license but wasn't.
