Could not agree more of your description for Prabhakara garu.. Having known him for decades, he is a person who exudes maximum negative energy in any crowded room, always taking ill of others in a sarcastic manner, back biting, looking for flaws even in a 5-star conference room, the tea is bitter, coffee over-heated, Aircon not working properly, staff is so untrained, even how it rains at wrong time, climate is always bad9 and stuffy in Bangalore, has nasty fights with his car Drivers, that none works with him for more than 6 months..

No, they were supported by middlemen from Punjab who would lose out on money, if they were sidestepped. Punjab farmers supported bcos they didn't have a choice. BJP had to give in after elections were round the corner.

Dr .Anand Ranganathan at his best rebutted the 'subjective thought' process of PP. PP says that those institutions born or non existent during freedom struggle are not patriotic... strange logic! Another goof PP spoke about 35million people were pushed down the poverty line in the last 9½ yrs... wrong! Multidimensional poverty has declined is good news, that was observed by all bodies including UN. As per the findings of the Index, multidimensional poverty (MPI) in India declined from 29.17% in 2013-14 to 11.28% of the population in 2022-23, with about 24.82 crore people moving out of this bracket in nine years to 2022-23. With all the infrastructure development there are jobs esp in the unorganised sector. Why are lakhs of people going elsewhere for jobs? horticulture which demands labour is thriving. Labour data in India is notoriously unreliable. Also there are money transfers and the WB and IMF have reported a steep reduction in poverty. If you do not like the politics do not misuse economics misleading people. Mr Parakala is no economist anyway.
