I think this is one of the situations where Dean have been most unfair. He can´t accept this girl, but later on he asks Sam to accept Deans friendship with Benny.
not the same, at least in deans eyes. amy was a monster that had returned to taking lives. benny was fresh out of purgatory so he had a clean slate. to dean its probably different in terms of perspective. and while it is sad about sams friend, i dont think dean was wrong to do this
Benny never killed anyone. Amy was killing people. Even Sam changed his mind when Benny sacrificed his own life to save Sam.
@@marymartindale884 by that logic, Sam and Dean deserve to die for how much they've killed to save each other and those in their care. I haven't seen the episode in a while but from what I remember (pls correct if wrong) Amy was trying to only kill people who already had it coming, and it was for her kid to live, and it was very limited. Because of what Dean did, that 'monster' kid is gonna grow up with no guidance, no instruction, no home, no parents, and not have anyone or anything to teach him how to get by without killing people, and he's gonna end up another unfortunate 'monster' trying to survive and killed by hunters. And why does Dean get the final say on whether Amy, or anyone, lives or dies? He has such a god complex.
I hate how Sam calls himself freak and unclean being forced fed demon as a baby wasnt Sam's fault. Also I still hate the whole Amy thing. Of course Sam was upset that Amy was killed but also Dean promised Sam he would trust him for once and he didnt mean it. Sam is always wanting Dean to trust/believe in him S4, S7 and S8 like he believes in Dean and its just heart breaking.
I completely agree that's why I like Sam better than Dean. I actually don't really like Dean at all he is such a hypocrite. Sam has such a big heart and kind soul. Dean is a asshole. Sam is too nice to him considering how Dean treats him. Like never believing in him.
@@TheMrsilverscott that's their dynamics Dean loves Sam unconditionally. Sam trusts Dean ultimately. But I agree I prefer Sam much more than Dean. He's the hero character. He's sweet, brave, idealistic. Dean is a self-loathing cynic who takes it on everyone in his life. He's not a hero like Sam, he wants to sacrifice himself because he thinks he deserves to die.

@@PL-xl8gn Well it makes perfect sense that he would want his brother to die human instead of a monster he even says in that scene he would die for him in a heartbeat but he won't see him become a monster.
@@pillowboy7995 I can’t tell if you’re being serious... he wasn’t a monster, he was an addict. Dean just refused to listen to him, locked him up and left him there. Imagine if castiel didn’t let sam out, dean and bobby would just come down sometime to see his dead body knowing he spent his last moments in pain and alone screaming? That’s fucked up
Sam is not a freak...and there's one reason for that = Dean.
Dean is the 'heart' of the show...Sam is the 'Soul'..but the 'backbone' of the show is their bond....'They keep each other human'...So no Sammy...You're not a freak :(
