Sometimes I feel a bit guilty when I see this stuff and know I used them for target practice. Models , plastic soldiers, planes, buildings, chess sets. I gave a bunch of stuff to my buddies grandson and his physio mom threw them in the garbage. Thanks Bob for sharing.

Good 'finds' Bob. Long before I got the ACW, Zorro, AR sets in the BIG boxes, I got a WWII set, with gray and green figures same poses just in different colors, with a couple of howitzers and a battle mat. That was in the 50's. By the time these sets came out, I was HS and no longer got them for Xmas anymore. From what I remember of my WWII figs these are much nicer figures! Have fun and be well!

Careful Bob, I think I spotted a live grenade under the helmet of the second surrendering Imperial soldier! Just bought a bag of these off Amazon made by BMC.

Hi Bob, a very nice review. You mentioned having the Iwo Jima set, I have the USMC and Jap figures for Iwo Jima by BMC and they are very good. I believe that they produce a larger playset with a amtracs etc. Can't resist recommending a "vintage" book about this era, "Tarawa a legend is born" by Henry I Shaw jnr. There is also one in the same series (Pan Ballatine battle books) about Iwo Jima by Michael Russell.

Hi Stephen, I got that BMC Iwo set for my Gransons and you are dead on the AmTRac is pretty awesome. The set itself is well worth it too. :)

Good find Bob. Years ago I built a Glencoe Albatros DIII and I think it was the molds from the old Merit kit. I wonder if Glencoe ever produced any original tooling. I've just watched an unboxing video of a Marx limited edition Desert Storm play set. Looks pretty cool - have you ever seen it?

Nice review as usual. Christmas 1975/76 I got a Marx Indian canyon pass?? Set. It had cavalry and Indians with some homesteaders. If you know the set and have it I’d love to see it. I regret selling now.
