Arsenal provided a major statement about their title credentials as they thrashed Chelsea 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
For Chelsea, meanwhile, the chastening defeat, the club's heaviest in a London derby since 1986, following an FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday, dents their hopes of salvaging a European spot from a bitterly disappointing season.

What is there to criticize? They are not a big team. They are not claiming to be one. Their target from the jump was not to win or challenge for the league title. Top 4 maybe. The defence was a disgrace today..badiashille how many times do us chelsea fans need to state the obvious. He gave away the ball 8 or 9 times. Mudryk.- jogging all game. Disasi - no leadership when hes actually 26. Madueke doesnt protect the new young lad. Alfie - is he really good enough ? Balance of team horrendous. Maatsen out on loan while chilly is always injaued and aint all that no more. Poor teeam selection. Poor subs. Poor game management. Clueless owners . Poor recruitment staff. Its a mess. Because it's not a valid excuse 😂. Other teams have been in the same situation this season and not performing as badly as Chelsea. My local team has had an injury crisis and have had to play players out of position, and have been playing 2 strikers in defence for 70% of the season, yet they've still managed to win promotion. Their injuries aren't an excuse because they have cover. Stop making excuses

It’s literally the kids that are letting him down. Manager isn’t the problem, the squad - mainly the injuries and the inexperienced players - are the problem. Jackson, Madueke, and Mudryk have been wasteful, and Sterling disappointing to say the least. Would be a different tune had Nkunku been fit for majority of the season. Players like Gallagher, Palmer, and Silva are the only ones performing well consistently, and Silva and Gallagher might leave at the end of the season.
