“I’m not my father. I don’t do Kung fu.”
Proceeds to use Kung fu in every episode
Too true, dude 😂😂
Facts
Bare in mind, he is within himself, Shaolin. His teachings never left him. By season 3 he slowly takes that path. But in the end of the series, Peter becomes Shaolin.
@@paulkersey1007 and a spin off shouldve been made.
@@AccidentalPreppper I completely agree with you and that's what I thought the route was after the last episode
It’s pretty awesome how so many of us experienced such similar times such as watching this show with our dad or parents in the 90’s. Very cool! Just the music alone from this really hits home.
I used to think of it as an older kids alternative to Power Rangers when I watched it years ago.
Yes
Didn't watch with my parents but Def was part of my childhood
I watched this when it came out in 1992. 2022 I am still watching these seasons and episodes!!!
I remember watching this with my pop and him telling me about the original series
Sad that all seasons aren't on DVD or streaming. This show still holds up after 30 years
Still might be on plex
I feel like a child again watching the intro and crying
Same.
I miss those days
Am a child again 👶👶👶😂😂😂. I loved this show and Adventures of Loise and Clark.
Azok voltak a jó sorozatok
@@zsoltkiss7645 jaja
This is so weird a both of those shows are coming back this year Lewis and Clark and Kung Fu the legend
I just got done reading an article that the CW is doing a rebooted version of Kung Fu come I think April I hope and pray that it doesn't suck
Hell yeah bro
Loved this intro when I was a kid growing up! "I am Caine. I will help you." YESSSSS and the flute playing as well.
I just love it how his son gets his point across, he's a cop that's who he is, that's what he does
Lmao. Gold. Looks like owen Wilson
Sounds like a n64 character selection for a video game lol
@@aztecwarrior9511 right when you choose the character right... good stuff my friend
One of the best TV intros ever, and to a damn good show as well...Ah the nostalgic memories!
This needs to be on Netflix ASAP!!
Loved this show back in the day...my little kid mind would've been blown away had I known Chris Potter also voiced Gambit in X-Men: The Animated Series.
In fact I think it was David Carradine who encourged him to take on the role.
I didn't know that either
U just blew my mind still and I'm 38
Are you kidding me??
Wherever there is good in this world, and wherever light shines upon Darkness, Kwai Chang Caine will always walk the earth.
R.I.P David Carradine
Such a Great comment!
👏
@@sakarbik7535 Thank you so much. We really need more Kwai Chang Caine's in this Earth right now.
@@paulkersey1007 I agree 100% 🌌🙏🌌
@@sakarbik7535 I was the LM on season 2 and 3 of this series and your insightful words along with those of @Paul Kersey have really put a smile on my face. Not easy to do during times such as these. None of us in the cast or crew could have known 27 years ago that the series would live on and be viewed on so many platforms today. If I may add...yes we need more Kwai Chang Caine...and a whole lot more of The Ancient. RIP Kim Chan! And thank you for commenting with fondness and respect. :)
@@joebarzo9935 My heart is full of gratitude and solemn joy. Because your TV serie was very creative and important. Greetings from Argentina and stay safe in these days. 🙏🌎✔️🇦🇷☯️
I remember this show giving me something to look forward to every Sunday night when I was a young teenager. It helped with my feelings of dread about going back to school the next day.
The original in the 70s gave me the same feelings of overcoming the dread of school.
Man, I still remember watching this show when I was a kid. It always drove me nuts that I could never watch the original. So glad I can watch both now.
Some of the best work David caradine did in his later years
Can't believe I didn't noticed until now, Chris Potter is also the voice of Gambit from the 90's X-Men cartoon
😱 I now know. Thanx.
😍
@ccutter2: He also costars in a Canadian show called Heartland on CBC, too.
My brother and I would watch this here in Australia late Friday nights, back in the mid 90’s. We loved it!
I remember watching this with my mom back in the day. So many great memories!
I used to watch this show back in the mid 90's. I come back to this intro every now and then. It's still awesome and bring back so many memories.
I used to watch this show when I was younger. It really caught my attention seeing Kung Fu in it. R.I.P David Carradine. Your Legacy lives on.
0:35 - The over the top "UUHHH" after the kick to the face gets me everytime. 🤣💀
Loved watching this with my parents! Highlander too!!
Even though this show was slightly the cheeseball side back then, my parents, my youngest brother and I never missed an episode. I think it came on Thursday nights as party of the Action Pack block (I think) on the UPN. Good times, man.
I used to live in Olympia WA back in '99 .....it would come on everyday at 3 just as I got home from high school....I watched it big time....thought it was so cool....still do!
Necesitamos una edición de la serie en DVD en español latino..... Estás series no deben olvidarse jamás.
Used to watch this with my parents as a child. I used to think it was ok but nothing special, I was never bothered whether it was on or not. Just recently though, now my parents are no longer in this world I have become increasingly nostalgic and have started watching this on DVD, and liking it unlike when I was a child
"I am Caine,i will help you "
JAJJJAAJJAJAJAJ!!! sure he will
Now I'm Bill ..kiddo
The way he delivered that line was pretty epic.

Never gets old
0:43 - “Look, I’m not my father! I don’t do kung fu, I’m a cop. That’s what I am, that’s what I do.” - Peter Caine
😂😂😂
Peter Caine said that cuz his dad didn't save him when the temple caught on fire when he was a kid
I loved this show. They need to bring this out on DVD.
Koniecznie!

I loved this show as a 12 year old in 1993. Between this one, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Mortal Kombat on SNES I started to develop a great interest in the martial arts
Back when tv was still fun.

This Theme & Show Will Always Be Epic.
Seeing a post on Facebook about the new show Kung Fu on CW brought back the nostalgia so I had to find the info of Kung Fu the legend continues! This show is a classic!
Right on, especially that they came out with SuperMan and Lois replacing The Adventures Lois and Clark from the 90’s.Plus , plus the Good old series of Walker Texas Ranger.
I always feel like a kid again. Just hearing that music alone brings me back 😢
Watched this as a kid. Loved it.
Zajebisty serial i piękne czasy lata 90
Dentro de lo que fueron las series de acción de los 90 , para mi esta fue una de las mejores.

One of my favorite shows! I am going to buy the whole collection on dvd soon!!!
Please can you tell me where you can get this series???
Amazon has it
Unfortunately, seasons 3 and 4 are not available on DVD. Those are the seasons where Caine becomes a Shambala Master, and is granted even more powers.
I loved this show when I was a teenager.
The liner at the 43 second mark is golden. Love it.
Release all four seasons on blu ray in a complete box set please.
I wish they would put this back on tv
Ur words to God's ears
I remember watching a movie about this show
also that intro music, wow!
I really wish that they would release season 3 and 4 on dvd.
Loved this show as a kid.
Love Kung fu
Sometimes being an american cop from the 90s or a shaolin monk from the early century is slightly the same
Man I miss this show so much 😭
David Carradine and Chris Potter.
Chris Potter Gambit
@@gundanout11 All these years and I didn't realize it's the same guy who voiced Gambit from the 90's X-Men cartoon
Chris Potter from Kenan and Kel?
I watch CBC’s “Heartland” thinking maybe Chris Potter will do some Kung Fu; some mobster from Toronto will show up and say he remembers Chris and knows his past.
Chris Potter's character , Peter Caine , destroyed my life ! I was 14 when i watched Kung Fu and till now i keep looking for him in every man i meet !! I'm in my late 30s and i've never found my own Peter 😔
What? LOL 🤣
I remember a couple of episodes in, I went to visit my grandfather who said he liked the show too. I couldn't wait to watch with him but then he died a week later. I never got to watch an episodes with him.
Look I'm not my father. I don't do kung fu. I'm a cop but proceeds to do kung fu in every episode ha :D...!!!
I know it’s super cheese but I fucking loved this show. 😂😂😂
“I am cane. I will scold you” - every Asian parents.
Heya Warner Archive... just go ahead and slap this onto at least ONE streaming service please! There were 4 seasons and only 2 of them made it to DVD.
I remember watching this and Highlander The Series with my mom growing up.
My grandfather and I loved the show.
When I was a kid, I thought David Carradine would really help you in real liife situations... lol
Not only u buddy lol,
He had that innocent naivete that u ca trust but will eff u up if u cross him.
We miss the 90
Love it...basically still have it memorized. :)
Learned today Chris Potter was the voice for Gambit in the 90s Xmen animated series!
I'm not my father , I don't do Kung Fu..I'm an X-Man that's who I am, that's what I do! ..lol
I'm not my father, I don't do Kung Fu! I'm a cop, that's who I am. That's what I do!
And when he finaly became shaolin, it was the most emotional moment...
Lol yet he uses it to defeat the baddies almost every episode
CorporalDanLives I never forgot that line, I love it!
