Hello Dr. Ellie, I am a struggling parent to a 7 year old who was apparently eating toothpaste for a while and now her permanent teeth are coming in with huge white spots and her permanent molars also came in molten and yellow. I have been loosely following the system but I do not know whether it will help the appearance of her teeth. Dentist just prescribed high dosage fluoride toothpaste but I do not feel comfortable using it. Please any advise would be truly appreciated. Thank you!

@@StFrancis9 what are you worried about? Shorten the time of the Listerine- that’s fine - but it’s a very important step. Dilute the Cool Mint and it should taste OK for him. FYI my kids were 6 when they started the CMCS and they have beautiful perfect teeth!

Are you absolutely sure that he would not swallow any of it? That is the main reason she normally has them start when they're at least 6 or 7 - to know that they will be able to use it without swallowing any.

Epic and Pur are good too. We use them and they’ve been working for us.

Yes my son can swish and spit without swallowing. He's 4
However no adult teeth are out yet
Oh, well you may just want to use xylitol alone, then, until later when the permanent teeth are out. Xylitol will have a LOT of benefit for him now!
