- In this episode, we're heading to Springfield, Ohio for the Springfield Antique Show and Flea Market and we're taking you along. We'll show you all the great booths, displays and items to buy. The smell of sweet Annie is in the air and this WONDERFUL Extravaganza is filled with pumpkins and Fall decor! It's my favorite show and I look forward to it every year! Come along and I'll show why!

I am watching this for the second time. Getting used to how you film. I can keep up with you now. You have a great voice to listen too. I do not do projects anymore. But I just adore old things. At my age I grew up being thrifty before it became trendy. A local frame shop took my old escutcheons and threaded them to a linen backing. She used old keys, door keyhole backs, furniture handles, small locks. Then she put them in a shadow box frame. I also had her do this with my vintage cast iron interior and exterior water faucet handles. Nice way to showcase them instead of just nailing to a wall. Just need some imagination. Will hang these new framed items in my new Arts & Crafts home. Am enjoying your videos very much.

It is really the real antique. It took me back to the stage of the American West and the cowboys and the fragrant years ago, but it is still alive with these beautiful and rare masterpieces. Bravo to you and more success.

I swear we had to be there at the same time! We bought the black chippy corbels in the taxidermy booth and the giant boot sign! I saw so many other things we purchased. I love that place!

Hi Judy! My Mom and I used to go to Shipshawana many moons again! It was fun! We even use to go across the street to Yoder's and buy stacks of fabric there! We haven't went there in so long, but I do remember it being fun! We'd pack the car!
So neat... Thank 4 bringin us " along" .....so many cool things....loved the french little skinny table salmon/ faded pink....got very disappointing news today...long stry short..i found awesomed French curio lovely cabinet in New Mex last July!! NEVER COULD GO GET IT..he re sold it ..😳😳..he is sending some y $;$ back ..but ..still i understsnd he stored it over a yr.im a single woman& my pet ih crippled I'm having hard x...🙏🙏😰😳😳😳😳😳

This brings back memories of my mom and me, going to the Flea market in Storyville, NY. I’m making cement pumpkins today. That tin awning would make a nice hood cover for a stove. Great goodies, and treasures. Sweet Annie grows wild here.

I did...it was such a GREAT weekend! I love going there! About the Sweet Annie...I heard that you can dry the little balls out on the sweet Annie and grow it. I don't know if that's true, but I have some in a bag from last year that are nice and dry. I think I will try, because I too, would like to grow some! I get lost coming out of the grocery store if I linger too long LOL. I live in Massachusetts, haven’t seen any of these shows and flea markets like they have in Ohio. Hi Cindy! Two years back we were going to go to the Rose Bowl, but decide to go to the Round Top in Texas instead. My Mom has been to the Rose Bowl, but I haven't. It's on my bucket list, though! Springfield is just mammoth! They have over 2,000 vendors and it will take you two day to get through the whole show....so, that show is definitely worth the trip if you ever decide to go. Oh boy, wish I could of been there with all of you. That looked like a great flea market. I saw a lot of stuff I would of bought too. I can’t wait to see what you bought n how you transformed them. Kelly, can’t wait to use some of the things I bought from you through sweet n sassy but my time for myself hasn’t been to good. With hubby having dementia I can’t seem find anytime for myself. I want so much to use those alphabet molds. I even bought that 2 part molding tubs. Hopefully one of these days I’ll get at it.
I also can’t wait to see what Mama does with her goodies too. Well my friend it sure was swell you taking all of us along with you to the great flea market. I had lots of fun ( visionlizing) ♥️♥️😊👍👍

You know when you give your promise in marriage for better or worse in sickness n in health you never thought it would happen to you. You never thought you’d lose a child either. Always thought it happens to others. It makes you realize it happens every day to anyone. We lost our oldest son in 1989. He was almost 19.

I have a 19 year old and 17 year old and if anything happened to them...I'm not sure I would be able to get out of bed! You've been through so much, Shelly and yet...you still have such a sweet & resilient personality!!! I know you're going through a hard time with having to take care of your husband, but like my sister said to me once when I was going through a hard time..."You keep being the light in a dark place." It made me feel good inside. I’m trying to take each day that my good Lord gives me. Each day I try to take some time (if I can) to work on making our extra bdroom a craft room for myself.
I had no idea how much stuff I’ve collected over the years. I have so much acrylic paints as I used to do a lot of painting on gourds n other different items.
Half of them have dried out LOL. Then I signed up for this Chalk Couture as a hobby definitely not a designer. I just ordered me a band saw which will arrive today. I always loved making stuff out of wood. I just hope n pray that I’ll be able to do these things once again.
I don’t want to put my husband in a old people’s home as I call it. I just feel if I do he will get worse. That’s what happened to his mom.
I always wanted boys n I was blessed to have them. Your boys are 2yrs apart n mine were 2 1/2yrs apart. They were so close as brothers could be. Are your boys close? I’m so thanks I still have Shawn, which he’s here to help me some. He left his wife n son in California to come here. He has his own designing business designing restaurants. Has his own office to work out of during the day.
It’s been a true blessing. I feel guilty that he left his family to help with his daddy but it was his choice. Well, I’d better let you get back to your life n I’m boring you with mine. I appreciate your prayers n thank you for them. I know God hears them. I feel I found a good friend n a friend with a very creative n talented heart n mind. XOXO ♥️

OMG...yes, you are sooooo lucky to have Twig in your area! They definitely have the knack of being able to put things together! Looking at their booth is like eye candy! I was actually a vendor with a few friends back in 2017…it was a great learning experience but I would never do the summer show again it just gets way to hot there but the fall show would be a great one to be a vendor at!! Nebraska also has a thing called Junk jaunt where you shop 350 miles of sales throughout Nebraska 400 plus vendors!!! Happening September 24,25,&26!!! I would love to take a summer and a trailer and go across the U.S. junking!!!❤️

This was just last weekend, Sept 17th, 18th & 19th. They have the Extravaganza twice a year. One is in May and that other is in the third week in September. It's such an AWESOME show! It's my absolute favorite! You're going to LOVE it, Rachel!
