Welcome back to our let's play / playthrough of LISA the Timeless! In this episode, we tackle our actual greatest challenge yet: Frank Bombard. This guy's a massive jerk and won't let us pass through the desert. So it's up to us to teach him some manners (aka watching him beat us to a pulp for an hour). No, seriously, this guy's absolute insane.

Glad you enjoyed the game! Everyone who worked (and continues to work) on this game gives it their 100% grade-A effort, and I think it shows. More updates for Chapter 1 will be coming soon to add some additional content as well as patch up the last of the balancing issues. After that, we'll be shifting our focus forward to Ch. 2 and beyond. Really hope you stick around to see it through, but if not, I still hope you had a great time with Timeless!

I need to know how things end for Berny and Elton, especially since Berny seems to be doing the narration hahah. I wasn't a big fan of Elton and Berny at the beginning, but as time went on they're just Alex and Joel in a safer setting. They've grown on me quite a bit.
Love the new lighting.
Definitely. I usually prefer larger parties since I always think there's more potential with additional party members (i.e. Hopeful or Painful). But I really enjoyed the duo in this game, though I'm also biased cause I ended up enjoying their character designs / interactions a ton. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the next chapter in the Timeless!

Nice video. They definitely made this guy tougher in the patch. In the original release, Frank was a pushover and the Gnomes were unstoppable. Having agility upgrades on Elton (from the underwater guy's stash) is essential so he can use Look Out BEFORE the boss attacks. Glassing Attack is also useful because it ignores armor and any defensive stance the guy has queued up. Too late to help with your playthrough, but maybe someone else will appreciate the advice.
Ah, that'd definitely make a ton of sense. I definitely blundered this fight a lot harder than previous ones. I think games like this and the Pointless are harder in general with only two party members, too, so I'm not too surprised about the difficulty. I'm happy that they swapped the difficulty between the two enemies though. I'd be pretty sad if the final fight was too easy and the gnomes had been the hardest thing to beat in the game, hahah.

Had a bit of a cold / had just gotten done with work so was feeling pretty overwhelmed. I appreciate the concern from everyone, it means a lot. Took a short break to get back to normal but we should be back to it from here on!

Oh god, the Arnold fight hahah. That one was rough. And I had a bit of a cold when recording this (as well as having worked all day / recording after) so I was a bit overwhelmed. Took a few days to relax though, so hopefully should be good from here on! I appreciate the concern!

I think of all the Lisa Bosses I've seen, Frank Bombard has to be my favorite, hands down, hands up, kicks flying, elbow throwing son of a birching badass, in technical ability and everything else.
This fight would look so crazy if it was animated in a 2D fashion.

I'm excited to see the next chapter of Timeless and was pleasantly surprised at how much I ended up enjoying it. The animations in particular stand out as a massive highlight for me. Likewise, Frank was a really fun boss fight. I think he took the longest out of most of our LISA encounters!

Frank just felt so, fleshed out!
Fighting like a really strong person without a crazy gimmick, made it feel much more impactful.

Amazing playthrough. Sintinel can I suggest you Furi? 3D boss-rush game that has it's cryptic lore. It's pretty fun.
Sintinel, I second this. I love the Lisa Games and I love Furi. They don't have anything in commom apart from a great ost, but I would love to see you play it

The music's something I've heard complimented a lot with that game so I'd love to check it out at some point. I'll probably give it a look at some point but I have a ton of games I'm wanting to check out (along with a string of new releases coming up in a week!). The music is always amazing that it's so impressive what people are able to come up with! A lot of the fanmade tracks end up flowing perfectly with the original's, and it's neat how people have picked up on the creator's work and learned from their style.

i made it up until frank and honestly i’ve never seen a boss so unbalanced. I loved the game for the whole journey until that one fight, you aren’t given enough items or mags to do it. It’s just frustrating.
Frank was definitely a massive wall for me so I understand where you're coming from. The actual recording for this video was around 50 some minutes, and a ton of that was just the other attempts against Frank. It helped when we went back and grabbed some items but yeah, definitely a massive spike in difficulty.
Aside from some little blips like that throughout the game, Timeless was definitely a ton of fun.
@@Sintinel my main problem was i spent most of my mags on the songs which as far as i know aren’t even used
@@T.Rizzle Same, honestly. I didn't expect to be as mag starved as I was later on, hahah. I think having a place to farm magazines would've been pretty helpful since that saved my ass a ton in our Painful playthrough.
